Dresses on-demand as Deliveroo partners with Hurr in first-of-its-kind partnership

Deliveroo and HURR, the UK’s leading home of circular fashion, have announced a new partnership to bring rental designer dresses directly to customers’ doors in as little as 20 minutes.

Launching just in time for the festive party season, the new collaboration will allow Deliveroo users to rent pre-loved high-end fashion pieces from HURR’s selection, directly through the Deliveroo app, which includes brands such as 16 Arlington, Santa Brands, Self-Portrait, Nadine Merabi and Rixo.

Deliveroo customers within Central London will be able to browse through a curated selection of more than 50 luxury and premium dresses. HURR allows customers to access high-end, designer clothing without the need to purchase them – helping to make luxury fashion more accessible and sustainable.

The partnership will make it even quicker and easier for customers to access and rent pre-loved designer items, adding a new level of speed and accessibility to sustainable fashion. Currently, HURR customers receive their rentals through its 24-hour overnight delivery service, this will be cut to 20 minutes through Deliveroo. Customers will receive a returns label and easy instructions when their item is delivered, making the process as easy as possible.

Consumer demand for high-end fashion rentals continues to grow, and the global fashion rental market is now valued at over £4.8m, more than doubling in size from 2016. This growth has been driven by Gen Z and Millennial consumers who are seeking cost-effective and sustainable fashion alternatives. This industry-first partnership allows HURR to tap into Deliveroo’s vast, younger customer base across London, making high-end rental fashion more accessible just in time for the Christmas party season. It eliminates the need to purchase a new outfit, making sustainable, stylish choices easier than ever.

The partnership marks another milestone in the growth of ‘Deliveroo Shopping’, which now features major brands like B&Q, Wilko, Ann Summers, and The Perfume Shop. With its move into non-food categories, Deliveroo now gives customers the convenience of shopping for everything from fashion and homeware to toys, flowers, baby essentials, cosmetics, and gifts—all through one app.

Eric French, chief operating officer at Deliveroo, said: “At Deliveroo we’re always looking to break new ground and our exciting partnership with HURR is no different. It is an industry first for the rental fashion market, and will make high-end fashion even more accessible and bring a new level of luxury and convenience to our customers. This marks our first step into the fashion space, and we’re excited to welcome more partners to Deliveroo Shopping as we continue expanding the variety for our customers.”

Victoria Prew, founder of HURR said: “We’re thrilled to be launching on-demand fashion rental in partnership with Deliveroo this festive season. You can select and rent your dresses from HURR to your door faster than ever before, in as little as 20 minutes. Customer experience is at the heart of HURR and this unique partnership will deliver your last minute or planned party wear looks to your door faster than fast fashion itself.”
