Eden Mill has launched Winter in St Andrews, the next release in its seasonal gin range with a warming blood orange, cinnamon and clove gin – limited to just 500 bottles.
The release follows Summer in St Andrews, the distillery’s limited summer gin. The limited-edition gin has been made for aperitivo hour and Eden Mill recommends it in a Negroni: equal parts Winter in St Andrews, sweet vermouth and Campari, built over ice and finished with an orange twist.
Hamish Maclean, senior brand manager at Eden Mill, said: “Summer in St Andrews showed us there is a real appetite for small, seasonal releases that capture moments in this special town. Winter in St Andrews is an ode to the shorter days, warmer flavours, and gathering round loved ones with a warming drink as the sun sets.
“Blood orange is a natural partner for the Negroni – bittersweet citrus merges with the Campari and the cinnamon and clove carry through the vermouth. To my taste, it’s rounder and warmer than the classic, and a serve we’ll be pouring at the distillery bar all winter long.”
