Free subs for a year and more – Jersey Mike’s lands in UK

Jersey Mike'sLondon, get ready to meet your new favourite sub.

One of America’s biggest sandwich obsessions, with more than 3,400 restaurants across the US and Canada, is opening its first-ever UK restaurant on Argyll Street on 9th November, bringing its famous freshly made subs to the capital for the very first time.

And to make its London debut one to remember, Jersey Mike’s is treating its first customers to some seriously good perks. The first three people in the queue will win free Jersey Mike’s subs for a year, while the first 50 people through the doors will get a free regular sub.

The countdown is officially on, with the first restaurant opening at 1-4 Argyll Street, just off Oxford Street next week. But this is only the beginning. Jersey Mike’s is bringing its East Coast sandwich game to even more of the capital, with three further London restaurants opening shortly after its debut.

The next openings will see Jersey Mike’s arrive at:

  • Baker Street: Mid-November

  • New Oxford Street: Late November – close to Tottenham Court Road.

  • Cranbourn Street: December 2026 – in the Covent Garden and Leicester Square area.

Founded on the Jersey Shore in New Jersey in 1956, Jersey Mike’s has spent 70 years building a loyal following for its freshly prepared subs. What started as a single neighbourhood sandwich shop has grown into one of America’s best-known sub brands – and now, Londoners can finally find out what the fuss is about.

Forget a grab-and-go sandwich that’s been sitting on the shelf. Jersey Mike’s is all about subs made fresh in-store, with meats and cheeses sliced to order and bread baked throughout the day. From hot, hearty favourites to cold classics, every sub is made to order, with the option to go “Mike’s Way” – topped with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, spices and its signature “The Juice”, an oil blend and red wine vinegar.

The UK launch is being led by Satnam Leihal, CEO of JM Submarines UK Ltd, the master franchisee of Jersey Mike’s in the UK and Ireland.

Peter Cancro, founder of Jersey Mike’s Subs, said: “Bringing Jersey Mike’s to the UK is a special moment for me. From one neighbourhood sandwich shop on the Jersey Shore to more than 3,400 locations across North America, our story has always been about great food, genuine hospitality and the communities we serve.

I’m excited to be working alongside Satnam to bring that same spirit to the UK and Ireland. We share a belief in doing things the right way, building strong teams and creating something that lasts. London is our starting point, and together we see a tremendous opportunity to make Jersey Mike’s a brand people here come to know and love.”

With the first restaurant opening next week and more locations following in quick succession, London’s sub fans won’t have long to wait to get their hands on Jersey Mike’s.
