Freja, the UK’s leading bone broth brand, to launch natural, nourishing stock cube alternative

This October, Freja, the UK’s leading bone broth brand, is set to innovate once more, with the launch of a natural, nourishing stock cube alternative. In stark contrast to the ultra-processed stock cubes currently dominating the market, Freja’s revolutionary Instant Bone Broth has an all-natural, simple ingredients list and is positively brimming with bone broth benefits. Rolling out from 1st October, the new range will be available from the Freja website, Ocado and Amazon (RRP: £5.99 / box of 4x15g sachets).

High in protein, packed with collagen, and nutrient-rich, the delicious Instant Bone Broth, which comes in Beef and Chicken flavours, is ideal for cooking. Suggested as a swap for ultra-processed stock cubes, the Instant Bone Broth delivers a delicious, clean-label alternative that adds protein (11g per serving) and collagen (Beef, 7g, types I and III per serving / Chicken 6g type II per serving) to any meal. The sachets can also be added to hot water for an instantaneous mug of delicious broth.

Ed Armitage, co-founder, Freja, explains, “We know that today’s consumer is looking for natural products with ingredients that you can pronounce, with appropriate levels of nutrition. The stock cube category is emblematic of everything that’s wrong with our food today. Traditional stocks and broths, which are some of the most nutritionally dense and complete foods around, have been replaced by little cubes of ultra-processed rubbish with almost no nutritional value. Other food categories have had their ‘better for you’ moments, but nothing has really changed in the stock cube aisle for 30 years, and the clean eating, functional food buyer is completely excluded from the category.

We aim to change that with our Instant Bone Broth, oering a convenient and aordable alternative that not only tastes better, but provides significant nutritional value. The products have taken 2 years to develop, and mark an exciting new step as we continue on our mission to nourish the world with bone broth”

Harnessing all the nourishing power of bone broth, the Instant Bone Broth provides great support for your gut, joints, hair, skin, teeth and nails as well as helping balance your body’s electrolytes (magnesium, potassium & sodium). They are made with only natural

ingredients including bone broth powder, natural yeast extract, dried herbs and vegetables, and are both gluten and dairy free.

Each pack contains four 15g sachets of Instant Bone Broth powder (£5.99), which you use in exactly the same way you would use a stock cube. Simply add one sachet to 500ml of hot water for a cooking stock, or to 250ml of hot water for a delicious savoury drink. The range is also low calorie, with 56 kcal per serving (beef) and 52 kcal per serving (chicken).

Available from 1st October from frejafoods.com, Ocado and Amazon.
