This festive season, HARIBO has partnered not with one, but two iconic brands, Hamleys and Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland to spread childlike happiness across the UK.
For the first time, HARIBO partners with iconic toy store, Hamleys, to the embody the spirit of the season and kick proceedings off in style. Partnering for the annual Christmas window reveal and Regent Street Christmas light switch on in London, HARIBO Goldbear graced the red carpet with Hamleys Christmas elves to share 2,000 HARIBO mini-bags with the public. Harper and Romeo Beckham were just two of the star studded names in attendance at the VIP celebrity party as well as Freida and Jamie Redknapp, Nicky Clarke, Stacey Dooley, Amy Hart and Oti Mabuse with their families to enjoy a private view of the Hamleys toy store.
The HARIBO at Hamleys partnership continues with a surprise and delight sampling of new product, Elf Surprises (RRP 60g from 70p, 140g, 160g from £1.25) at Hamleys two other store locations, in London Westfield and Glasgow on the busiest Christmas shopping day of the year, the last Saturday before Christmas which lands on 21 December 2024. If you go down to either Hamley’s store, you’ll be in with a chance of receiving a share bag completely free of charge.
The fun continues as HARIBO proudly headline sponsors Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland live now until 5 January 2025. Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland is York’s favourite festive event, home to the North of England’s largest outdoor ice rink, with 975 sq m of real ice and a 30ft high sparkling Christmas tree topped with HARIBO-themed decorations.
Living up to its reputation as one of the most ‘fabulously festive and magical’ ice rinks in the country (The Sunday Times 2023), this year the rink has a newly landscaped woodland scene as its backdrop, featuring large LED Christmas trees, wooden cabins and illuminated gingerbread men, candy canes and deer, providing the perfect setting for winter skating.
Using new ice-making technology for the first time, the extra-thick glistening rink is flanked by the après-skate Chalet café and terrace as well as the skate hire marquee, decorated with vintage alpine posters and photographs and even a cow-bell or two to set the scene.
Offering fun for all the family, Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland also comprises a Funfair with rides and game stalls, an Enchanted Forest with an array of colourful animal characters as Santa’s helpers, and a glittering light tunnel leading to Santa’s Grotto. For a festive retail experience, the boutique Christmas market has 12 cabins offering gifts with a difference, from crafts to chocolates to canine creations, while York Designer Outlet is the perfect place to tackle the Christmas shopping! For some last-minute Christmas treats, the HARIBO store inside the Centre offers a tasty selection of sweets that are perfect for sharing, parties and gifting – something for every occasion this Christmas.
