Iceland Foods announces 500 price cuts on household essentials to support Brits in the cost of living crisis

A leading competitor in the ‘supermarket price war’, Iceland invests half a million pounds every week in keeping prices low for customers. This investment includes its Mix & Match range – offering unbeatable value across multibuys. Putting money back in consumers’ pockets amid the cost-of-living crisis, and in addition to the sizeable investment, the supermarket has also slashed the price of nearly 500 of its most popular products.

Richard Walker, executive chairman of Iceland Foods, said: “Families are struggling more than ever as the cost-of-living crisis worsens. That’s why we’ve invested millions – and will continue to do so – to keep prices low across key weekly shop items. We know we have a responsibility as a business to support our customers in any way we can and offer great value when people need it most.”

Iceland’s hugely popular Mix & Match range lets customers buy multiple, essential weekly shop items at incredible prices across a number of food categories. Current Mix & Match offers include:

  • 3 for £3 – focused on morning goods and bread + selected grocery 3 for £3 Mix & Match | Iceland Foods. For example:
    • Warburtons Toastie Soft Thick White 800g (RRP: £1.40, Multibuy Price: £1.00)
    • John West Mackerel Fillets in Sunflower Oil 125g (RRP: £1.50, Multibuy Price: £1.00)
    • Sunny D Tangy Florida Citrus Fusion 1L (RRP: £1.20, Multibuy Price:  £1.00)
  • 3 for £5 – cross category products but focussed on own label and branded chilled products. Also includes various frozen and grocery lines. 3 for £5 Mix & Match | Iceland Foods. For example:
    • Iceland Sweet Peppers (pack of three RRP: £2.29, Multibuy Price: £1.67)
    • Richmond 6 Thick Pork Sausages 308g (RRP: £2.00, Multibuy Price: £1.67)
    • Babybel Mini Original Cheese 6 x 20g 120g (RRP: £2.45, Multibuy Price: £1.67)
  • 3 for £10 – Iceland’s original Frozen 3 for £10 deal – now extended to include grocery and non-food. 3 for £10 Mix & Match | Iceland Foods
    • Iceland Boneless 2 Atlantic Salmon Fillets 220g (RRP: £5.00, Multibuy Price: £3.34)
    • Cathedral City Mature Cheddar 350g (RRP: £4.20, Multibuy Price: £3.34)
    • PetalSoft Luxury Soft Toilet Tissue 3 Ply 9 Rolls (RRP: £4.00, Multibuy Price: £3.34)
  • 3 for £10 on New & Exclusive Brands – Iceland’s original Frozen 3 for £10 deal – now extended to include new and exclusive items including fan favourites:
    • Greggs Sausage Rolls, 4 pack 427g (Single price: £3.50, Multibuy Price: £3.34
    • My Protein Chicken Tikka with Rice 350g (Single price: £4.00, Multibuy Price: £3.34)
    • Slimming World Beef Lasagne 550g (Single price: £4.25, Multibuy Price: £3.34)

In addition, providing unbeatable value for consumers, prices have been slashed on 500 “weekly shop” products including:

  • Youngs Fish Fingers (15pk, was £3.50, now £2.00)
  • Nescafe Coffee (200g, was £6.50, now £4.50)
  • Anchor Spreadable Butter (400g, was £3.50, now £2.50)
  • Heinz 4 x 400g spaghetti in tomato sauce (was £4.00 now £3.50)
  • Brace’s 6pk soft white baps (400g, was £1.40, now £1.20)
  • Kellogg’s 8pk variety (was £3.50, now £1.75)
  • Iceland minced beef and onion (650g, was £4.00, now £3.50)
  • Batchelors Super Chicken Noodles (75g, was £0.80, now £0.40)
  • Iceland stuffed chicken breast joint (525g, was £5.00, now £3.45)
  • Tetley plus 50% free 240 pack tea bags (was £5.75 now £4.00)
  • Iceland Atlantic cod fillets (320g, was £5 now £3.50)
