KB Pen launches the world’s first luxury, customisable beauty tool

KB PenBeauty pioneer Karen Betts launches The KB Pen, the world’s first luxury, customisable & interchangeable beauty tool for the eyes, lips and brows, introducing a new category in premium cosmetics and challenging the industry’s long-standing culture of saving luxury for special occasions.

Crafted from precision CNC-turned stainless steel and finished using Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD), a premium coating process more commonly found in fine watchmaking and luxury hotel hardware. The KB Pen combines precision engineering with refillable beauty innovation. Rather than replacing an entire mechanical gel pencil, users simply swap interchangeable cartridges between eye, lip and brow shades, reducing waste.

The launch marks the beginning of Karen Betts’ philosophy of Beauty Without Occasion, a movement encouraging people to stop saving life’s luxuries for “best” and instead, use and enjoy beautiful things every day. For decades, luxury brands have sold products that feel almost too precious to use. The result? Things that bring joy are left untouched while we wait for the perfect occasion. Karen Betts believes that thinking belongs in the past.

The KB Pen has been created to make luxury beauty part of everyday life. Whether you’re applying your lip colour in the coffee queue, defining your brows before the school run, or touching up your eyeliner before dinner with friends, The KB Pen is designed to be used today, tomorrow and next Wednesday. Because ordinary days deserve exceptional beauty too.

A new category in beauty

The KB Pen is more than another premium cosmetic pencil. It is the world’s first luxury, modular beauty tool: a refillable pen compatible with 19 interchangeable cartridges for brows, eyes, and lips. Its Interchangeable, refillable cartridges allow users to switch easily between products while keeping the same beautifully crafted stainless-steel case. The result is a cosmetic tool designed to be loved, used and refilled rather than thrown away.

The launch collection introduces The KB Pen, crafted from stainless steel and finished in three jewellery-inspired PVD coatings. Designed for versatility and self-expression, the refillable pen is compatible with 19 interchangeable cartridges for brows, eyes, and lips, including Velvet Eye and Velvet Lip and Precision Brow pencils. Each pencil is richly pigmented with a smooth, velvety glide and long-lasting colour that stays in place throughout the day. With 9 unique hardware combinations and 19 shades across eye, lip and brow, the KB Pen offers options to make it your own, seamlessly blending beauty, craftsmanship, and individuality in one elegant design.

By replacing disposable cosmetic pencils with one precision-engineered refillable tool, The KB Pen uses less plastic while delivering the same formula volume.
