BershkaLakeside Shopping Centre today announced that Inditex brand BERSHKA will open a new 12,500 sq ft store at the centre in the Summer 2026, marking a significant milestone in the continued transformation of Essex’s super regional retail and leisure destination.

Since its launch in 1998, BERSHKA has become a global leader in trend-driven apparel and accessories for women and men, and it will bring even more choice to Lakeside’s expanding fashion collection.

The signing further strengthens Lakeside’s relationship with Inditex, with BERSHKA joining Zara, Stradivarius and Pull&Bear and comes as Lakeside continues its multi-million-pound investment programme, shaping the centre’s next phase of growth as one of the UK’s leading destinations. Ranking sixth in the CACI Shopping Centre Rankings, this addition further increases its appeal to international brands.

The brand joins a strong mix of fashion retailers including Mango, H&M and Marks & Spencer, enhancing the centre’s appeal to fashion-forward shoppers.

Rob Jewell, managing director asset management at Pradera Lateral, commented: “BERSHKA is a brilliant fit for Lakeside. It’s a brand that understands what today’s customers want. Accessible fashion, great value and a strong identity. We’re building a destination that evolves with our guests, and bringing BERSHKA to Lakeside is another step in elevating the experience across the centre.”

This announcement follows a pipeline of exciting leasing deals secured by Lakeside in 2025 – with BERSHKA joining brands such as Reiss, Charles Tyrwhitt and NEXT in committing to the centre’s ambitious future.

Lakeside, owned by SGS UK Retail, is asset managed by Pradera Lateral. The leasing agents for this deal were LM Real Estate and Smith Young.
