MONIN, the global beverage flavour expert, is launching their Summer Trends Report with a free webinar for hospitality professionals later this month to share further information and business application.
A deep dive into the current state of the drinks industry, the report will focus on the coffee and cocktail sector, to help baristas, bartenders and wholesalers maximise their profit potential by creating insight-led drinks menus.
MONIN has worked with a number of insights partners, including CGA and Allegra, combined with their own national in-market reviews across various channels to reveal past summer drink trends, as well as important predictions for summer 2023.
With the UK being Europe’s 5th largest coffee consumer, it’s unsurprising that the coffee market is set to exceed £5.8 million by 2026. As well as stats on the market as a whole, MONIN will also reveal findings on consumer’s specific buying habits, such as the milky latte being 69% of shopper’s favourites, a medium roast the nation’s go-to selection and caramel syrup the top ingredient to customise their hot beverage1.
And whilst the coffee shop sector is thriving, things aren’t looking quite so optimistic for the pub and bar sector, according to MONIN’s new report. Minimal growth of 0.3% is expected by the end of the year, and it is struggling to recover post-pandemic.
With this in mind, it is now more important than ever for the hospitality industry to utilise resources to help them thrive, particularly with the cost-of-living crisis presenting fresh challenges to the industry.
Lee Hyde, senior beverage expert at MONIN, comments:, “It’s always an exciting moment when we launch our annual Summer Trends Report, and this one has been an especially interesting one to compile. We’re pleased to be able to offer practical advice and tips that baristas, bartenders and wholesalers alike can use to maximise profits and support their business.”
To launch the Summer Trends Report, and give attendees an exclusive first look at the findings, MONIN is holding an online webinar on Thursday 30th March from 1-2pm. Offering practical advice, experts will reveal how these insights and trends can drive sales, increase profit, and support business growth in the hospitality industry.
