WickesWickes has officially opened its new store in Bury St Edmunds today, continuing the retailer’s ongoing investment in its store network. This is the second of four former Homebase sites to be converted into Wickes stores.

The 35,000sq ft store includes a 3,900sq ft showroom, featuring a broad selection of home improvement products for both trade professionals and DIY customers.

The store offers a Dulux paint mixing service along with a brand-new bathroom and kitchen showroom, featuring options to suit every budget, all designed to inspire and support customers in creating their dream homes.

In addition, customers can utilise Wickes’ free design service, with expert advice from the store’s Design Consultants, alongside Wickes’ trusted installation service. Local customers can also take advantage of delivery straight from the store to nearby areas, plus our convenient Click & Collect service.

To celebrate the opening, all customers can enjoy 15% off in store from 11th – 13th July. Trade customers will find a broad selection of products from trusted brands like Bosch and Dulux Trade to help keep their projects on schedule. TradePro members also get 10% off every time they shop.

Sarah Taitt, chief property & services officer at Wickes, said: “We’re delighted to open our new store in Bury St Edmunds on Friday 4th July, bringing reliable home improvement products and expert guidance to the local community. We’ve welcomed 17 former Homebase colleagues to the Wickes team and are proud to create further employment opportunities in the area. Demonstrating our commitment to sustainability, the store includes an air source heat pump, an energy-efficient technology that reduces the building’s carbon footprint and supports our environmental goals. Our dedicated team looks forward to providing practical advice, quality products, and friendly service to help customers complete their home projects with confidence.”

The new store will also introduce the Wickes Community Programme to the area, providing local non-profit groups and organisations with access to donated tools and materials to help enhance community spaces.

The new store is located at Moreton Hall Estate, Easlea Road, Bury Saint Edmunds, IP32 7BY. Open Monday to Saturday 7am – 8pm and Sunday 10am – 4pm.

If you can’t visit the new store, Wickes is always open at www.wickes.co.uk.
