PayPoint builds on gaming voucher offering for retailers with new Fortnite partnership, ahead of festive period

PayPoint today announces a new partnership with global gaming developer and publisher Epic Games, creator of Fortnite, to offer in-store voucher services, building on retailers’ gaming voucher offering.

Fortnite is a popular online video game platform developed by Epic Games, which features multiple game modes. The most well-known is Fortnite Battle Royale, where up to 100 players compete to be the last one standing. With over 650 million registered players worldwide, this partnership is set to attract gamers across the UK into their local retailer.

Players are now able to buy Fortnite digital vouchers, with a value between £10 and £125. With over 99% of the UK population living within a mile of a PayPoint retailer, the partnership will provide convenient locations for gamers to purchase their top ups and gift givers to grab the perfect present.

Digital vouchers provide a secure and convenient purchasing platform for Fortnite players, enabling them to top-up and credit their accounts, or gift family and friends, with the ability to use cash to purchase.

Customers can purchase Fortnite digital vouchers in any amount between £10 and £125. The collaboration comes as PayPoint continues to expand its digital gaming voucher portfolio, which already includes Google Play, Nintendo, PlayStation, Roblox and Xbox, in response to rising demand for digital vouchers.

Alongside earning commission, the partnership enables retail partners to attract new customers with digital voucher services, increasing cross-selling potential for other services and products whilst in-store.

Jo Toolan, managing director, payments at PayPoint commented:“We are thrilled to continue expanding our gaming voucher portfolio for retailers, with customers now able to purchase Fortnite vouchers in-store. With Fortnite’s huge UK player base, retailers will have a new pool of customers to attract in-store, especially ahead of the festive period. We aim to further expand our in-store gaming and broader voucher offerings for both retailers and customers, and partnering with such a globally recognised brand supports this goal.”
