Phizz launches its biggest travel-focused marketing campaign to date

PhizzThis month Phizz, the #1 brand in the UK’s fastest growing wellbeing category, launches its biggest travel-focused marketing campaign to date.  Running throughout August, the OOH  is centred around the creative platform, “When travel demands more, add some Phizz”, designed to position the brand as the go-to hydration solution for people on the move.

Going live across the UK, the integrated multi-channel activation aims to reach more than 38 million travellers across the UK’s busiest transport hubs. including rail stations, airports, commuter hubs and the London Underground.  Activity also extends beyond London into cities where Phizz and the hydration category over-index, including Glasgow, Manchester and York.

In a bid to build a connection through a multi-touchpoint consumer journey, the campaign aims to ensure consumers encounter Phizz multiple times throughout their journey, when hydration matters most.  From awareness-driving media in high-footfall travel environments through to shopper activity in Boots, WHSmith Travel and nearby retailers (including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Waitrose), the campaign creates a seamless path to purchase and is designed to increase brand awareness at scale.  It is also being further amplified through a travel-focused influencer programme, featuring more than 130 creators, alongside paid and organic social content.

Phizz founder Daniel Cray says: “Travel is one of the moments when people are most conscious of staying hydrated.  In fact, when you fly, the airplane cabin becomes nearly twice as dry as the Sahara desert! It was actually when travelling that we uncovered a hydration gap, and the idea for Phizz was born.  Rather than relying on a single touchpoint, we’ve built a fully connected campaign that follows people throughout their journey, from stations and airports to social media and into our retail partners. The campaign further supports our  ambition to own the travel hydration occasion, which is the perfect opportunity for Phizz to connect with consumers”.

Phizz is currently on promotion in the following retail partners:

  • Boots Save ⅓ (15th July – 8 Sept)

  • Sainsburys £5.50 Core, £6.50 I+ (22nd July – 1st Sept)

  • Tesco (£5.50 Clubcard Only) (8th July – 19th Aug)

  • Waitrose £5.50 (5th August to 29th Sept)

  • Wh Smith (Buy one, get one half) (22nd July – 2nd Sept)

  • Boots Ireland  €7.49 (15th July – 8 Sept)

  • Tesco Ireland (3 for 2): always-on
