Health and life insurer, Vitality and the nation’s most iconic pizzeria brand, PizzaExpress, have today announced a new partnership as they work together to o@er Vitality members delicious choices.

PizzaExpress has joined Vitality’s behavioural change programme – the Vitality Programme – which rewards and incentivises people to live more healthy and active lives. With Vitality being one of the largest health and life insurers in the UK, two million members will now be able to access exclusive nationwide savings week after week at PizzaExpress, when they get active.

Together, PizzaExpress and Vitality, have carefully selected a number of lighter dishes across the menu that Vitality members can redeem. From the iconic Pollo ad Astra, Sloppy Giuseppe and La Reine, to the Leggera Padana, Warm Roasted Veg & Chicken Bowl, Prawn Puttanesca and Green Goddess Slaw, the dishes can be identified by a signature pink Vitality marker on the menu.

As the UK’s most iconic pizzeria brand, PizzaExpress is known for bringing friends and families together in its restaurants across the nation, and from Monday 30th March, eligible Vitality members will be able to dine deliciously with the partnership perks including:

  • 25% o@ all dishes within the PizzaExpress Vitality Range as one of their Weekly Picks when they are active the preceding week.
  • Choose a PizzaExpress Vitality Range main meal for free, when they purchase a full-priced-main at the same time. The o@er will be available to members with a qualifying plan who have been active for four weeks in a row.

Nick Read, chief vitality officer, Vitality said: “Partnering with PizzaExpress creates a powerful incentive to get more people active each week. By pairing rewards with a range of lighter, healthier dishes, we’ve created a partnership that motivates action and makes healthy habits feel instantly rewarding.”

Chris Holmes, chief commercial officer, PizzaExpress, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Vitality to help even more people lead balanced lives. Being an inclusive brand with something for everyone is central to all we do at PizzaExpress – whether that’s families, with our Piccolo o@ering, our Leggera pizza with its legendary salad filled centre, vibrant salads, or gluten free options. What’s more, over 50 per cent of our menu is either vegetarian or vegan. We look forward to Vitality members enjoying delicious dishes for less as part of their membership as they lead balanced lives.”

PizzaExpress joins a growing list of global and UK brands who have rewards on the Vitality Programme, including Apple Watch, gyms including PureGym and Virgin Active, and Waitrose & Partners. Rewards are made available when people are active and earn Vitality points, with 12 weekly points, equivalent to a workout one day, plus two other days of getting 7,000 steps, or four days of 7,000 steps, unlocking access to them. Some discounts are immediately available to all members as soon as they join, such as up to 50% o@ running shoes, which help people get active from the moment they join.
