Rémy Martin Cognac teams up with The Barbarians to drive VSOP sales This Father’s Day

Rémy Martin Cognac Rémy Martin is bringing its rugby partnerships to the forefront this Father’s Day with a nationwide retail and media campaign featuring The Barbarians and international rugby legends Sir Gareth Edwards and Dan Biggar.

Rugby continues to provide a rich territory for Rémy Martin VSOP Cognac to reach premium dark spirits drinkers in the UK, and this latest wave of the campaign will be supported by high impact in-store activations to drive incremental sales for the Category during the Father’s Day gifting season.

The limited-edition Barbarian FC Rémy Martin VSOP gift pack is now available in major UK grocery retailers. Its launch will be supported by in-store and online activations designed to drive seasonal visibility, bringing together occasions of celebration and gifting, particularly around key matches that draw strong engagement among premium spirits consumers.

Nick Ganich, marketing director at Rémy Cointreau, says: “Rémy Martin VSOP and the Barbarians both represent a devotion to excellence, tradition and team spirit. Created especially for Father’s Day, this limited edition beautifully expresses our partnership – celebrating the shared values, camaraderie, and passions that bring people together across generations.”

Barbarian F.C. president, John Spencer said: “The Barbarian F.C. is delighted to partner with world- renowned Rémy Martin V.S.O.P Cognac. Maison Rémy Martin has over 300-years of history mixing tradition and innovation, which is very much in line with the Barbarians core values.  It is hugely important to partner with brands who carry those similar traits and passions and with Rémy Martin V.S.O.P Cognac we have that.”

Alongside the matchday activity and trade activations, Rémy Martin continues its partnerships with The Good, The Bad & The Rugby and The Good, The Scaz & The Rugby, with branded segments running across both platforms from 26th May, extending reach in the run-up to Father’s Day.

Welsh fly-half Dan Biggar will also support the campaign through social and digital content across the Father’s Day period. With 112 international caps across a 15-year career, Biggar brings added credibility and reach among key rugby audiences.
