Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana is bringing its renowned, authentic Neapolitan pizzas south of the river, opening its latest pizzeria on Lavender Hill, Clapham Junction, this May. To mark the occasion, Londoners will be able to claim one of 3,000 pizzas on-the-house at this LINK.
The new location is nestled amongst the buzz of beloved foodie high street, Northcote Road and minutes from Clapham Junction Station, ideally placed for those looking to embrace delicious, authentic Neapolitan pizza culture in the heart of Clapham, all in time for the summer months.
As the eighth Rudy’s to open in London, the Clapham Junction pizzeria stays true to the brand’s northern roots, creating authentic and traditional Neapolitan pizza that is officially accredited by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN).
Renowned for its menu of fan-favourites including Triple Pepperoni alongside Napoli classics Margherita, Calabrese and Marinara, Rudy’s also hosts rotating specials in homage to famous pizzerias around the world. Recent specials have included Diego’s Diavola, created in collaboration with Diego Vitagliano, the world-renowned Neapolitan pizzaiolo named Best in the World 2023 by 50 Top Pizza. These partnerships reflect Rudy’s continued commitment to celebrating authentic Neapolitan craft and collaborating with the very best in the global pizza community.
Rudy’s dough is made fresh each day by their in-house pizzaioli, using Caputo ‘00’ flour that is proved for 24 hours, before being topped with the highest-quality ingredients from Naples. This includes San Marzano tomatoes grown in volcanic-rich soil at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, and traditional fior di latte mozzarella from Latteria Sorrentina. Each pizza is cooked for around 60 seconds at 430°C – resulting in a soft and light pizza with an airy and raised ‘cornicione’ crust.
Clapham Junction Rudy’s will continue to honour its Italian roots, serving iconic spritzes, crisp Italian Poretti lager, Rudy’s own speciality Orancello and classic cocktails – Negronis, Amaretto Sours and Limoncello Spritz’.
Commenting on the new opening, Neal Bates, managing director at Rudy’s Pizza, said: “We’ve loved being part of the Clapham community and can’t wait to bring Rudy’s to Clapham Junction. It’s a neighbourhood full of genuine food and drink lovers, so with 3,000 pizzas to give away, we’re thrilled to be celebrating the opening the best way we know how – with a truly authentic Neapolitan experience in the heart of South West London .”
