Sainsbury’s launches 10 new Taste the Difference ready meals to match the fast pace of modern life

Sainsbury’sFood-lovers rejoice! Sainsbury’s is excited to announce the launch of 10 new Taste the Difference ready meals. The new line of wholesome, convenient ready-made mains take the hassle out of scratch cooking without compromising on flavour.

‘Within our new range of Taste the Difference ready meals, we’ve incorporated the high-quality ingredients you would expect, whilst introducing more modern cuisines such as Smoky Aubergine Tikka Masala and Harissa & Pomegranate Lamb, which stand out in a new packaging format. These single-serve mains are carefully prepared to offer satisfying, wholesome food at a great price, making it easy for our customers to eat well on a tight schedule. As we move into colder months, more of our customers are seeking warm, wholesome meals – last month, searches for ‘ready meals’ at Sainsbury’s increased by +17% and ‘healthy ready meals’ by +55%[1]. Our new range of meals are ideal for those wanting a fresh, delicious, fuss-free solution this autumn.” said Claire Hughes, director of product and innovation at Sainsbury’s.

Available now in Sainsbury’s supermarkets and online, customers can explore the range, choosing from:

  • Taste the Difference Smoky Aubergine Tikka Masala with basmati rice and roasted red peppers with a smoky masala sauce, hand finished with coriander. £5
  • Taste the Difference Gochujang Roasted Cauliflower with fragrant ginger sticky rice and quinoa with a Korean style spicy sauce, cavolo nero and coriander. £5
  • Taste the Difference Mexican Style Chimichurri Chicken with spicy rice, corn and black beans. Pulled British chicken thigh and tomato salsa. £5
  • Taste the Difference Lemon & Thyme Chicken Risotto – creamy pearl barley risotto with pecorino cheese and tender stem broccoli. £5
  • Taste the Difference Smoky BBQ Beef Brisket – slow cooked British beef brisket and a smoky Bourbon BBQ sauce with roasted sweet potato and creamed parmesan spinach. £5
  • Taste the Difference Beef Brisket with Red Wine Jus – slow cooked British beef brisket with Chianti Red wine and Thyme with roasted Parmentier potatoes & kale. £5
  • Taste the Difference Cod, Cheese & Leek Gratin – succulent cod fillet and mature cheddar cheese sauce with crushed potatoes and baby spinach. £5
  • Taste the Difference Harissa & Pomegranate Lamb – slow cooked lamb shoulder and pomegranate molasses sauce with harissa spiced pearl barley & pickled red cabbage. £5
  • Taste the Difference Teriyaki King Oyster Mushrooms with seasoned sushi rice & pak choi with teriyaki sauce, pickled carrots and coriander. £5
  • Taste the Difference Roasted Butternut Squash Gnocchi – potato gnocchi coated in tomato sauce finished with gremolata crumb with baby spinach and ricotta cheese. £5
