Award-winning whisky company, Samuel Gulliver & Co., is delighted to announce the newest addition to its English Whisky portfolio: Gulliver’s 47 PX Sherry Cask. This latest expression joins a range of English Single Malts produced by Samuel Gulliver & Co. that celebrates English whisky including its peated Bourbon Cask, 10-Year-Old Quarter Cask, STR (Toasted and Re- Charred Cask) and its England’s No. 6 Single Malt which is finished in ex-rum casks and is the Official Whisky of England Rugby.
Gulliver’s 47 PX Sherry Cask is a single malt English whisky distilled at The St. George’s Distillery in Norfolk and finished in Pedro Ximenez Sherry Casks sourced from Spain. The PX Sherry Casks brings notes of golden raisins and chocolate with a taste of Christmas cake.
Stuart Gulliver, a 9th generation descendent of the original founder, says: “We are truly delighted to announce the release of our Gulliver’s 47 PX Sherry Cask. Perfect for warming up on a chilly winter’s night, we can’t wait to introduce this exceptional single malt English whisky to our portfolio.”
With the aim of staying true to the vision of the original Samuel Gulliver back in 1747, the company’s ambition is to create a diverse range of spirits where each bottle exemplifies the skill and craftsmanship of the artisan distillers and producers from around the world.
Bottled at 47% ABV, without chill-filtration and with natural colour, Gulliver’s 47 PX Sherry Cask is available for £79 and will be available through their online store as well as retail specialists.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Aromas of butterscotch, sweet spices and orange zest
Palate: Rich and fruity with notes of golden raisins, ripe fig and dark chocolate
