Søstrene GreneDanish lifestyle brand Søstrene Grene will open its first Carlisle store this festive season at 26–40 English Street, bringing affordable Scandinavian style to the heart of the city. The new space will offer an inspiring selection of homewares, décor, stationery, gifts and seasonal finds, giving shoppers a fresh way to enjoy design-led living without the high price tag.

The Carlisle store marks Søstrene Grene’s first location in Cumbria and a major step in the brand’s ongoing UK expansion. Locals can now enjoy the brand’s signature Scandinavian style close to home, with a high street environment designed to inspire shoppers. From homewares and kitchen essentials to stationery, gifts and festive decorations, the store combines style, practicality and seasonal charm, making it a must-visit destination this Christmas.

Inside the new store, every detail has been designed to create a calm and welcoming shopping experience. Soft lighting, classical music and the signature winding layout guide customers through the space, while carefully arranged displays and subtle festive touches bring a sense of Scandinavian warmth to the high street.

Mikkel Grene, CEO and co-owner of Søstrene Grene, comments: “We are thrilled to open our first store in Carlisle and bring Søstrene Grene’s wonderful world to the community. Each new store allows us to combine practicality with style and offer customers something a little different on the high street. Seeing our vision reach new regions across the UK, especially in time for the festive season, is incredibly exciting.”

With more than 350 stores across 17 countries, Søstrene Grene is continuing its UK expansion, with 100 new openings planned by 2027 to bring its affordable Scandinavian design to even more communities.

Country Manager for the North of England, Jonathan Cooper, is also looking forward to the opening of Søstrene Grene’s new Carlisle store.

Jonathan Cooper comments: “The response to Søstrene Grene in the North of England has been incredible and we’re excited to bring that same energy to Carlisle. Every city we open in has its own character and Carlisle offers something different, with a vibrant high street and a community that welcomes new experiences. This first store in Cumbria is an important step in expanding our presence across the region and giving local shoppers the chance to experience the brand in a way that feels distinctly Scandinavian.”

The official launch date of Søstrene Grene, Carlisle, will be announced very soon.
