The Cotswold CompanyThe Cotswold Company, the digitally-led premium handcrafted furniture and homeware brand, is pleased to announce plans to open its 11th UK showroom, located at 7 High Street, Marlow – its first store in Buckinghamshire. The new showroom will create three full time and four part time jobs.

Founded in 1996 in the heart of the Cotswolds, the Cotswold Company sells thoughtfully designed, carefully crafted premium furniture and homewares. Its timeless products for the home and garden – from comfy beds to roomy wardrobes and sink-in sofas – champion traceable timber and are designed for life and built to last. All furniture comes with a 15-year guarantee, reflecting the brand’s commitment and confidence in the quality of its frames, joints, hinges, and handles.

The new showroom, due to open in December, will be located on Marlow’s busy and highly popular high street and cover more than 3,500 square feet. It will feature a wide selection of the brand’s bestselling furniture collections, including its popular bedroom, living and dining ranges, designed to add charm and character to any home.

Reflecting growing demand for The Cotswold Company’s upholstery products, the Marlow showroom will also feature the brand’s Upholstery Hub. This space will showcase a range of upholstery swatches, styles, and fabrics, with take-home samples to ensure customers can find the perfect match for their interiors.

The Marlow showroom comes on the back of significant strategic progress in 2024. In the six months to 25 August 2024, The Cotswold Company reported sales growth of 15% to £40.1m and a 21% year-on-year increase in active customers. It also bolsters its expanding UK showroom estate. In September, The Cotswold Company opened its 10th showroom in Stamford, [which is trading ahead of expectations], and has plans to open more showrooms in the months ahead in line with its expansion strategy to become one of the UK’s leading premium furniture and homeware brands.

Ralph Tucker, chief executive officer at the Cotswold Company, said: “We’re excited to bring The Cotswold Company to Buckinghamshire with our new store in Marlow in time for Christmas. This will create fantastic opportunities to introduce local consumers to our high-quality, made-to-last products, and inspire more to look beyond throwaway furniture.

“The opening in Marlow will also round off a fantastic 2024 for The Cotswold Company in which we’ve gone from strength to strength. Reflecting the success of our digitally-led, omnichannel proposition and our growth from our investments in brand, product, and geotargeted marketing, we’re continuing to see really positive trading performance. This has been supported by several strategic milestones – from the opening of our new depot in Swindon and new showrooms in Marlow and Stamford to senior hires – which creates a strong foundation for further growth in 2025.”
