The National Burger Awards have returned for 2025, celebrating the very best in burger innovation, with Redefine Meat proudly sponsoring the plant-based category in this year’s competition. As a leader in plant-based culinary excellence, Redefine Meat is bringing a new dimension to the iconic burger category, supporting the industry’s shift towards high-quality, sustainable alternatives.
The 2025 National Burger Awards took place Tuesday 11th February at Big Penny Social in London, showcasing an exciting line-up of chefs, restaurants, and innovators competing for the coveted title, with a dedicated focus on flavour, creativity, and craftsmanship. This year’s finalists had more options than ever before to get creative – with the freedom to experiment with Redefine Meat’s versatile range of Redefine Premium Burger, Redefine Beef Mince, Redefine Pulled Pork, and Redefine Pulled Beef. Chosen finalists even explored using two products within their bespoke creations, allowing them to push culinary boundaries and craft innovative, standout offerings.
As part of its involvement, Redefine Meat teamed up with The National Burger Awards to celebrate the best plant-based burger offerings across the nation. The award for Best Plant-Based Burger in association with Redefine Meat was awarded to Rob Macdonald from Fat Hippo. The build was a take on a Sloppy Joe which amongst other garnishes, used two plant-based products, Redefine Meat’s Premium Burger patty topped with Redefine Beef Mince in a spicy chilli. The overall National Burger of the Year winner was Stuart Down of Black Bear Burger.
Redefine Meat continues to champion plant-based alternatives in the burger category, further cementing its role in transforming the food industry, as shown by supporting initiatives like The National Burger Awards. To see the full list of winners from the 2025 National Burger Awards, see here.
