Urban Outfitters opens a brand-new pop-up store, BDG Jeans by Urban Outfitters, its first ever stand-alone denim retail space.

Opening on 29th September, the BDG pop-up will be located on one of London’s most popular shopping destinations, King’s Road Chelsea. The 275 sq ft area will be transformed into a true Urban Outfitters space that highlights the brand’s full denim range and key items from the BDG AW23 collection.

To launch the new BDG Jeans store, Urban Outfitters is offering customers the opportunity to swap any pair of old jeans for a new pair of BDG Logan or Jaya, for free. The old denim, once received by the shop, will be recycled in various ways: Reused – jeans that are ready for second life will be resold through Urban Renewal, Urban Outfitters’ vintage department; Reworked – if the denim needs some love, Urban Outfitters will repair and redesign to resell through Urban Renewal; and Recycled – Urban Outfitters has partnered with Upcycle Labs to recycle the product back into denim homewear pieces. The swap shop event will kick off from 10am Saturday 30th September.

Malika Zagzoule, Fashion Director at Urban Outfitters said “Denim is coming through as a key item for autumn winter 2023. We saw a rise in desirability through spring summer with iconic 90s styles and brands worn by gen z which has led to being the driving force behind this trend. Our designers have worked to spotlight our unique take on the key trends for AW23 to ensure we stand out from other retailers. Our jeans and denim are rich with design and we want to spotlight our offering with the BDG Jeans pop-up.”

The BDG Jeans pop-up will hold a range of styles from Urban Outfitters and will exclusively feature other key items from the full BDG clothing range. The ambition behind the store is to highlight BDG as a halo brand that is designed internally by Urban Outfitters designers, as well as to showcase the range of denim the brand houses. The autumn/winter denim designs have been inspired by the rise in denim trends from low-rise to high-waisted, and vintage-washed to cargos.

BDG Jeans by Urban Outfitters pop-up officially opens on 29th September, and the swap shop will be on 30th September, adding to the continued expansion of Urban Outfitters Europe with three further retail spaces set to open from November 2023.

Address: 141 King’s Road, London, SW3
