Waitrose St. Neots unveiled its new look store this morning following a multi-million pound refurbishment. The refreshed store offers customers an enhanced shopping experience, with a modernised look and feel, new and improved product selections, and innovative technology.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary next year, the upgraded branch features a host of new improvements:
Upgraded Service Counters: Modernised meat and fish counters staffed by expert Partners ready to offer preparation advice, cooking tips, and recommendations.
Redesigned Bakery: An expanded, refreshed bakery section offering daily breakfast staples and specialty artisan favourites.
New Refrigeration: For improved energy efficiency.
Electronic Shelf Labels: Freeing up Partners from manual updates, allowing them to dedicate even more time to delivering outstanding customer service.
Dedicated John Lewis Click and Collect Desk: for faster collections and returns.
Branch manager, Tim Stanton, who leads a team of 140 Partners said: “This is a milestone moment for our store. We are approaching 40 years since we first opened our doors and we’re thrilled to now share a refreshed and improved store with the wonderful St Neots community. Every detail of the refurbishment, from the new bakery to modernised counters, was created with food lovers in mind, and to meet the high standards you expect from Waitrose.”
The first customers through the doors will be greeted with a complimentary glass of prosecco or orange juice, and a commemorative reusable Waitrose tote bag for their groceries, with even more food and drink tastings taking place across the weekend.
Nationwide investment
Waitrose is committed to investing in its estate, including nationwide refurbishments and new openings. This forms part of a £1bn, multi-year programme designed to offer the very best products, service and shops for customers.
The past month has also seen refurbishments of stores in Finchley, Balham and Clapham Junction, and Waitrose is on track to open two new supermarkets this year in Hale Barns (Greater Manchester) and Cricklewood (North West London). Waitrose is also refurbishing 28 shops this year and launching into airport travel retail for the first time in four new RELAY stores in Heathrow Terminal 2.
