Yakult,Yakult, the original fermented milk drink, has launched its  Yakult Plus Peach variety into ASDA, with the product rolling out across more than 260 stores nationwide.

This major distribution win sees Yakult Plus Peach join ASDA shelves alongside Yakult Original and Yakult Balance, expanding the brand’s footprint in-store.

Yakult Plus Peach has a juicy peach flavour to tickle consumers taste buds. Each little bottle contains billions of friendly L.casei Shirota bacteria, scientifically proven to reach the gut alive and increase the bacteria in the gut*. It is rich in vitamin C, which supports immunity and helps lower fatigue**. It also contains fibre that feeds the gut bacteria.

Yakult Plus Peach is fat-free, suitable for vegetarians, gluten free and contains fewer calories and less sugar***. Plus, it comes in a fridge friendly 8 x 65ml bottles pack format, standing out on shelf in its new peachy recyclable cardboard packaging.

Hiroaki Yoshimura, MD for Yakult UK and Ireland, comments: “At Yakult, we’re passionate about making it easier for people to bring small, positive choices into their everyday routines. Our new listing with ASDA means even more people can enjoy Yakult Plus Peach – a delicious addition to a balanced lifestyle, especially as part of a feel-good morning routine.

We’re proud to offer a product developed with our heritage in microbiology, and we’re excited to see it become part of more people’s daily habits.”

Louise Bryden, buyer at Asda, adds: “We’re excited to add the latest innovation from Yakult to our stores. We believe our customers are going to love the new Plus Peach variety and can’t wait to hear what customers think!”

Yakult Plus Peach has launched into ASDA supermarkets, in an 8 x 65ml pack, RRP: from £3.70.
