allpay cards powers LHV Bank’s landmark UK current account launch with stunning card & speed-to-market execution

LHV Bank’s recent launch of a market leading 3.25% AER interest paying UK current account for balances up to £1 million has made headlines across the financial world. As the first new current account to enter the UK market since 2021, LHV Bank’s launch represents a bold step forward in digital banking, and allpay cards is proud to have played a key role in bringing this vision to life.

A fast-moving partnership

The journey began in 2024, when LHV Bank was drawn to allpay cards thanks to our capability to produce unique, high-end premium cards that match their forward-thinking current account offering.

What followed was a rapid, collaborative concept-to-launch process that showcased allpay cards’ ability to deliver under tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional standards of creativity, quality and service.

In close collaboration with LHV Bank’s team during critical phases, allpay cards supported a fast-paced development process with detailed prepress consultations, proofing rounds, and on-site sample reviews. This highly cooperative approach was guided by Adam Parkes, Senior Account Manager at allpay cards, who worked hand-in-hand with LHV to bring their vision to life. Adam’s attentive account management and LHV’s strong creative direction were instrumental in delivering not only the innovative cards, but also the stunning, premium packaging that accompanied them.

The result? Seven distinctive card designs, created in-house by LHV Bank’s team, and brought to life with premium brushed metallic Pantone finishes in Rose Gold, Black, White, Melon, Beige, Grey, and Lilac by allpay cards. These bold colours were further elevated with standout rainbow foil hot-stamped logos and card types, producing a striking and memorable physical expression of the LHV Bank brand.

From plastic proofing to UAT testing, processor integration, and live go-live support, allpay cards’ cross-functional teams delivered at speed. Despite a tight timeline, all internal SLAs were met or exceeded, allowing LHV Bank to launch on schedule and with confidence.

Veronika Veskimets, marketing team lead at LHV Bank, commented: “We knew from the start that our current account launch needed to reflect not just innovation in financial services, but also in design and customer experience. allpay cards proved to be an outstanding partner in helping us realise this ambition. From concept to launch, their expertise, flexibility, and attention to detail were evident at every stage. The result is a range of cards that perfectly captures the LHV Bank brand, elegant, distinctive, and built for the digital-first customer.”

Chelsi Jones, business development manager at allpay cards, also commented: “This partnership with LHV Bank has been a true example of innovation, agility, and shared vision. From our first conversation in 2024 to the moment we saw the cards in-market, the entire project was driven by creative excellence and delivery precision.”
