Manchester Arndale is set to welcome modern luxury fashion retailer Arne to New Cathedral Street. The new city centre store will mark one of the brand’s first physical locations following its launch in Liverpool, further strengthening New Cathedral Street’s position as a key retail destination for digitally native brands expanding into bricks-and-mortar.
Founded in 2018, Arne built its reputation through an e-commerce platform and a strong social media following before expanding into physical retail. The brand specialises in elevated everyday essentials, including contemporary menswear, footwear and accessories. Arne opened its first permanent bricks-and-mortar flagship in Liverpool in September 2025, following a series of successful pop-ups, marking a significant milestone in its evolution from e-commerce to omnichannel retailer.
The New Cathedral Street store will occupy 2,720 sq ft on a 10-year lease and is scheduled to open in June.
Arne joins a wave of recent openings on New Cathedral Street, including Alo Yoga, Arc’teryx and Represent, further cementing the street’s reputation as a hub for premium and contemporary retail brands.
Scott Linard, portfolio manager for M&G Real Estate, said: “Arne’s selection of New Cathedral Street for one of its first physical locations is a strong vote in confidence from yet another digitally native brand, following Alo Yoga, Represent and Arc’teryx. This addition further enhances our premium fashion offer and reflects our focus on attracting best-in-class brands that resonate with our visitors and reinforces our position as the North West’s home of fashion.”
Steve Gray, head of European retail asset management at Global Mutual, said: “We are delighted to welcome Arne as it takes this next step into physical retail. This move highlights the strength of New Cathedral Street as a destination for brands looking to connect with customers in a highly engaging environment.”
Metis Real Estate and Time Retail Partners are Manchester Arndale’s retained letting agents.
