Asda shines light on unmissable Diwali deals – with savings of up to 40% on selected products

AsdaAsda has announced its latest deals ahead of upcoming Diwali celebrations, lighting up the aisles with savings of up to 40% on selected items.

The UK is the home of some of the biggest Diwali celebrations outside of India*, and with over 1.5 million people likely to celebrate*, Asda is the one-stop-shop with great deals on food, drink and firework displays.

This year, Asda is set to hold its largest Diwali Event in history, with sales already up by 9.1% in comparison to 2023, with best sellers being rice (+25%), bakery (+67%) and scratch cooking essentials (+26%).

With new, authentic additions to its range, including Bombay Bhel Snack Pots and Ready to Fry Poppadom’s, Benjamin Khan, Buying Manager of World Foods says: “This year we have built our Diwali range around brands which we know our customers love, combined with the best prices we’ve had all year on the products”.

BIG SAVINGS ON DIWALI STAPLES

Shoppers can make huge savings on cooking staples, such as 40% off Salaam Rice 5kg (down to £6.50 from £11 – saving of £4.50), KTC Sunflower Oil 5L (down to £6.50 from £8.50 – 20% saving with £2 off) and KTC Coconut Milk 400g (down to 75p from £1.10 and saving of over 30%).

Other savings include:

  • Lanc Farm Yoghurt, 1kg (WAS £1.80/NOW £1.60)
  • Royal Rassomalai, 500g (WAS £4.00/NOW £3.75
  • Royal Gulabjam, 500g (WAS £4.00/NOW £3.60)
  • Riya’s Family Pack Plain Paratha, 20pk (WAS £3.50/NOW £3.40)
  • Riya’s Handmade Garlic & Coriander Naan (£1.50)
  • Nomadic Lassi, 500ml (WAS £1.80/NOW £1.70)

Customers will also find Diwali Star Products on Asda Rewards, with standouts including Regal Bakery Original Cake Rusk (£3.25), Rubicon Deluxe Mango Fruit Juice Drink (WAS £2.25/NOW £1.75), Dina Handmade Classic Baklawa Selection (£2.10) and Niru Faluda Rose Flavour Milkshake with Basil Seed (WAS £1.30/NOW £1.00).

HOT FIREWORK DEALS

This year, 35% of Asda’s firework range is low-noise, making Diwali celebrations friendly for all. Asda’s exclusive selection is sure to light up the sky at amazing prices:

  • 2 for £12 offer (saving of £2) includes TNT Starlight, TNT Galaxy and TNT Kaleidoscope
  • 2 for £22 offer (saving of £4) includes TNT Hero, TNT Space Guardians and TNT Starbound
  • 2 for £45 offer (saving of £7) includes TNT Spellbound, TNT Hotshot and TNT Sky Blazer

Running alongside is a 50p flat price on Gold Sparklers and £1 flat price on Giant Sparklers.

Shoppers can also be inspired to chef it up this Diwali, with Asda Good Living’s Diwali-themed recipes including Lasooni Methi Malai Paneer, Gajar Halwa Cake and Cardamom & pistachio nan khatai.
