ASICS - EventsRunThrough, the UK’s largest and Europe’s fastest-growing running events company, has today announced ASICS as the Official Presenting Partner of The RunThrough Foundation LONDON TEN taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on December 15, 2024.

The RunThrough Foundation LONDON TEN Presented by ASICS will be a celebration of diversity in running, with the aim of inspiring people from all backgrounds and means to realise the power of movement.

ASICS, renowned for its commitment to uplifting both body and mind through movement, aligns perfectly with the RunThrough Foundation’s mission to promote inclusivity and break barriers to participation in running. The partnership with ASICS reinforces the brand’s founding purpose, encouraging runners of all abilities to experience the transformative power of movement on the mind.

The RunThrough Foundation LONDON TEN Presented by ASICS, a free-to-enter event, was created to break down barriers to participation and improve diversity in running. Places for the event will be allocated through a ballot process that prioritises those from lower income areas as well as first time runners. Tens of thousands of people have already applied for the ballot and with a capacity of 6,000 runners, places will be highly sought after. The ballot is open now and can be entered here.

This initiative strengthens ASICS' message of inclusivity, making organised running events accessible to everyone, regardless of background or experience level.

Matt Wood, co-founder of RunThrough, commented, “We are thrilled to have ASICS as our presenting partner for The RunThrough Foundation LONDON TEN. Their commitment to promoting the physical and mental benefits of running aligns seamlessly with our goal of making running accessible to everyone. RunThrough
and The RunThrough Foundation have always existed to inspire active nations through running and we are excited along with ASICS to be able to focus our mission around this event on increasing diversity within the sport and further celebrating the power of movement.”

Lucy Greenhalgh, Marketing Manager, ASICS UK said: “At ASICS, we’ve always believed in the power of sports to unite people and uplift spirits. Our founding belief is that movement and exercise benefits the body and the mind. It’s why we are called ASICS which is an acronym for ‘Anima Sana in Corpore Sano‘ which translates to ‘a Sound Mind in a Sound Body.’ Whether you are an elite athlete or just starting on your running journey, all you have to do is move. Because when you move your body, you move your mind. And so we are delighted to partner with the RunThrough Foundation event as it opens the experience for all who run, to move with no boundaries or limitations.”

As part of this partnership, ASICS will be prominently featured throughout the event communications and will host various activations on race day. Runners will have the opportunity to speak to ASICS experts and receive free gait analysis, trial the latest ASICS products and the chance to win ASICS branded merchandise, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all participants.

The ballot is open now and will close on 3rd November 2024 so make sure to enter now to not miss out.
The RunThrough Foundation invites community groups, both running and non- running, to engage in a dialogue on how to collaborate and achieve the shared goal of increasing participation and promoting healthy lifestyles. Interested parties are encouraged to reach out to the Foundation via info@runthrough.co.uk.

RunThrough continues its mission to foster inclusivity, community engagement, and the joy of running through its events. With over 270 races in 2024 and 285,000 participants, including the Fulham 10k and the London Half.
