Biscuiteers, the UK’s original hand-iced biscuit company, is expanding its wholesale offering by announcing a series of partnerships with some of Britain’s best-loved museums and theatres.
As a major move into British cultural hotspots, Biscuiteers has created new biscuit collections for venues including the Southbank Centre, Shakespeare’s Globe, the Royal Opera House and the Royal Pavilion, Brighton.
In addition, Biscuiteers will be launching a bespoke collection in the Natural History Museum’s retail store in November. Highlights of the range include a small letter-box gift featuring T-rex and a medium letter-box gift showcasing Diplodocus alongside his lush vegetation snacks. And the partnership doesn’t end there, Biscuiteers are creating a Limited-Edition Christmas biscuit for The Natural History Museum to sell in store too.
Maxine Lister, Head of Licensing at the Natural History Museum, comments: “As long-term fans of Biscuiteers – and regular customers ourselves! – we are delighted to have the opportunity to work with a brand that we love. Having gifted Biscuiteers products for many years, it is such a treat to see some of the Museum’s finest specimens, from dodos to butterflies, dinosaurs to whales, transformed into delicious biscuits. We are very excited for the launch and look forward to growing this relationship in the future.”
Meanwhile, at Shakespeare’s Globe, Biscuiteers has created an all-year-round collection, featuring Shakespeare himself in biscuit form alongside a biscuit rendition of the iconic Globe Theatre – these can be acquired both in-store and online. Brighton’s Royal Pavilion is selling its bespoke Biscuiteers range in store which includes their Pavilion square letter box and “George the cat” biscuit pop – a stray who walked into the Royal Pavilion one day and became the palace cat.
The Royal Opera House will also be selling exclusive Nutcracker biscuits and Biscuiteers’ DIY Gingerbread House celebrating its performance of the Nutcracker ballet and Hansel and Gretel opera from October. Sue Carvell, Head of Retail, explains;
‘We’re thrilled to be working with such an exciting and reputable brand as Biscuiteers. This collaboration has been in the works for a while so it’s great to finally see it come to fruition. Together we’re launching two delicious bespoke biscuit pops in the form of synonymous Royal Opera House icons – a Nutcracker and a ballerina. Both items, as well as a DIY gingerbread house kit, will be available throughout Christmas at our physical ROH shop and online at www.shop.roh.org.uk’
The launch of these cultural partnerships builds on Biscuiteers’ growing wholesale business, which grew at +320% last year.
Harriet Hastings, founder & MD of Biscuiteers, comments: “Biscuiteers has been known as a predominantly direct to consumer business, however in recent years both our corporate offering and wholesale business have become more significant. We are excited to announce these latest partnerships with some of Britain’s most prominent cultural venues, and the opportunity to bring the brand to new audiences.”
