Black Sheep Coffee partners with Skate GB to put double caffeine Robusta to the test

Black Sheep Coffee is returning to its rebellious roots with the launch of a bold new campaign in partnership with Skate GB, celebrating the brand’s biggest point of difference: 100% specialty-grade Robusta coffee, which naturally contains double the caffeine of Arabica.
Launching on 15th July, the campaign brings together two challenger brands united by individuality, energy and a desire to do things differently. As one of the world’s newest Olympic sports, skateboarding embodies creativity, resilience and self-expression, making it a natural fit for the Black Sheep Coffee mindset.
Rather than talking about coffee in traditional terms, the campaign repositions Robusta as the fuel behind movement, performance and everyday ambition. Instead of focusing on functional benefits alone, Black Sheep Coffee is bringing its unique coffee proposition to life through culture, creativity and community.
The campaign creative features Skate GB athletes landing tricks, pushing boundaries and interacting naturally with Black Sheep Coffee products while riding bespoke Black Sheep skateboards created exclusively for the campaign. Designed to feel authentic rather than promotional, the films celebrate the confidence, energy and challenger spirit that both brands represent.
Rolling out throughout July and August, the campaign will serve as Black Sheep Coffee’s hero brand platform for the summer. Customers will see the partnership brought to life across stores through refreshed Robusta messaging, digital screens, kiosks, window stickers and A-boards, alongside a dedicated campaign across Instagram, TikTok and the Black Sheep Coffee app.
The partnership also marks the beginning of a longer-term relationship between Black Sheep Coffee and Skate GB, creating opportunities to champion the next generation of British skateboarding talent as the sport continues its Olympic journey towards the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Eirik Holth, co-founder of Black Sheep Coffee, commented: “Skateboarding has always been intrinsically linked to the Black Sheep Coffee story. When Gabe and I first started the business, we used to ride around the city on Penny Boards looking for new sites, so working with Skate GB feels like a real full-circle moment. Skateboarding shares so much of our DNA – it’s independent, expressive and proudly challenges convention. This partnership is the perfect way to showcase what makes Black Sheep Coffee different, celebrating the energy and mindset behind our brand, with Robusta at its heart.”
From custom skateboards to Olympic athletes, Black Sheep Coffee is proving once again that it has no interest in following the herd. Instead, it’s using one of Britain’s fastest-growing sports to shine a spotlight on the coffee that has always set it apart.
