British CBD brand Goodrays lands listing in Waitrose’s first ever meal deal

UK CBD brand Goodrays is happy to announce a new listing, its first in the food-to-go category: Goodrays CBD drinks are now available in the Waitrose Meal Deal nationwide. With 30mg of CBD in every can, (double times the amount of its nearest competitor) choosing a Goodrays to enjoy with your lunch offers Waitrose shoppers relaxation without the toxification. Shoppers will be able to select the Passionfruit & Pomelo flavour, which is the brand’s top-seller.

London-based Goodrays, launched in 2020, has proved popular with Waitrose shoppers and the recent launch of the mixed pack, exclusive to Waitrose, has been the most successful Goodrays CBD launch ever within a major supermarket. Founder Eoin Keenan and CBD industry expert puts this down to value per mg of CBD, and consumers wanting best quality but also value.

Eoin Keenan says: “Price point is everything right now for CBD brands. We’re sustaining growth by making our drinks the most cost-effective CBD drink on the market in terms of quality of CBD, as well as dosage per drink. 45% of consumers are entering the CBD category via drinks and navigating towards Goodrays due to its best-in-class efficacy. 54% of consumers are making CBD purchases based on ‘efficacy’ and they want to know they can get the full benefits of CBD without paying over the odds. Our ‘multiple moments’ ethos means we have designed a range that has options for every part of the consumers’ daily routine and we’re delighted Waitrose has stocked us in the meal deal as it means consumers can get a genuine moment of pause at lunchtime.”

Goodrays is currently the only CBD brand that stocks its entire range in Waitrose: the retailer has also taken CBD Zen Drops and CBD Night Drops Oil and ‘anytime’ CBD Gummies. CBD Oils, as recent research by Goodrays shows, are currently the most popular way for the UK to consume CBD, with drinks being the second most popular way.

Goodrays CBD recently announced a 1491% Growth year on year as reported by Neilsen (June 22/June 23).

The UK CBD industry alone is estimated to be worth £1billion by 2025, and Goodrays is forecast to triple revenue by the end of the next financial year.
