Creams Cafe taps into British biscuit nostalgia for limited edition summer sundae range

The UK’s leading dessert chain, Creams Cafe, has launched its new limited edition range of sundaes, each inspired by classic British biscuits.

The launch comes as more and more Brits are seeking nostalgic throwbacks, with research from consumer insight experts, FMCG Gurus, finding that 57% of consumers find nostalgic flavours appealing in food.

Launching just ahead of the school summer holidays, the range includes four new sundaes, taking inspiration from the Jammy Dodger, The Wagon Wheel, The Bourbon Cream, and the Jaffa Cake.

The range could not come at a better time, as the UK braces for one of its hottest summers on record, following heatwaves throughout May and June – which have driven Creams Cafe’s gelato sales by 60%.

In addition to the sundae range, Creams Cafe is also bringing out a new range of cheesecakes shakes  – including blueberry, lemon, and summer berry – for those who can’t decide if they want a dessert or a drink, in the form of a mash up of cheesecake and shake!

Creams Café CEO, Everett Fieldgate, added: “British biscuits are part of our collective DNA; everyone has a favourite, and everyone has a memory attached to it. We wanted to capture that feeling and bring it to life in a totally new way. There’s something magical about tasting something that takes you straight back to childhood, and that’s exactly what this range is designed to do. With the school holidays just around the corner and temperatures rising, we can’t think of a better time to take a trip down memory lane.”

So whether you’re reliving a childhood favourite or discovering a new twist on a classic, Creams Cafe’s new summer range is the ultimate sweet escape this season.
