Customers shopping Morrisons on Amazon can now Earn ‘More’ Points

Amazon and Morrisons today announced that customers can earn MorePoints – Morrison’s loyalty scheme – when shopping on the Morrisons on Amazon store.

Customers can earn More Points from purchases they make on Amazon.co.uk and claim them back as Morrisons More Card Fivers to spend either in Morrisons stores or on Morrisons.com. The exclusive launch deal will see 5 points available on every eligible Morrisons product, as well as 500 points for customers who register their loyalty account and spend £70 in a single order during the first two weeks after registration.

The integration of the More Points scheme is part of a wider array of improved features to make shopping for groceries and everyday essentials on Amazon even easier, including the introduction of ‘Grocery Day’ which means that customers can now book a recurring weekly delivery slot, with their basket pre-filled with their regular items. Amazon has also introduced a delivery pre-reservation feature allowing customers to reserve a slot up front for a period of up to 60 minutes to ensure they can secure the delivery time that suits them the best.

The announcement comes as Morrisons and Amazon increase availability to even more customers with the launch of ‘Morrisons on Amazon’ in Oxford. Morrisons is available to millions of people using Amazon.co.uk and the Amazon app, offering thousands of products including a new selection from Morrisons Market Street and more fresh food sourced directly from British farmers than any other supermarket.

Russell Jones, director for Amazon grocery partnerships worldwide, said: “We are committed to investing in ways for customers to get the best value for their weekly shop, and the integration of More Points to Morrisons on Amazon is a great new way for customers to be rewarded whilst getting their same day grocery deliveries. Our partnership with Morrisons continues to go from strength to strength and the expansion to even more customers marks a significant milestone in our bid to build a best-in-class grocery shopping experience, where grocery shopping is simple, fast, and affordable.”

Charlotte Exell, online director at Morrisons, said: “As we continue to build on our important partnership with Amazon, we’re thrilled that customers can now earn More Card Points on their groceries as part of our Morrisons on Amazon service.  The new launch is an important step in our mission to provide even more value and flexibility for our loyalty shoppers, making it easier than ever for customers to benefit from their More card wherever they shop.”

Earlier this year, Amazon opened up grocery shopping to all of its customers including those without Prime membership, meaning that customers in hundreds of towns and cities across the UK can get grocery deliveries from Amazon with a choice of high-quality products from well-loved brands, retailers, artisan and local producers as well as everyday essentials and family favourites. Prime members can get free same day or next day delivery with a two-hour delivery slot subject to minimum spend when ordering from Morrisons on Amazon, with other customers paying a minimum £3 delivery charge. Delivery is subject to availability and applicable fees / minimum order thresholds.
