Gü launches indulgent new Fondü range in Chocolate and Salted Caramel

Gü Gü is expanding its premium portfolio with the launch of Fondü, a new shareable dessert designed to bring a playful and indulgent twist to at-home dessert occasions.

Entering a new dessert dipping category, Gü is spotlighting their signature chocolate ganache and French salted caramel with the release of Chocolate Fondü and Salted Caramel Fondü. The new range taps into the growing demand for interactive, shareable desserts, offering consumers a versatile dessert option perfect for drizzling, dunking and dipping.

The UK dips market is worth over £400 million annually*, reflecting strong consumer demand for shareable and customisable eating occasions, further supported by social media trends driving at-home “dipping board” experiences. Fondü responds to this shift by bringing a premium dessert-led interpretation to a growing occasion space. This unique sweet dip redefines the category with a profile unlike anything else on the market.

Created to elevate occasions from cosy nights in, to sharing moments with friends, Fondü combines Gü’s signature indulgence with a more playful and personalised dessert experience, bringing added excitement to the chilled desserts aisle.

Chocolate Fondü – A Loved Classic

This blends rich dark chocolate with silky milk chocolate and generous double cream, creating a luxuriously smooth ganache with broad consumer appeal. Made with our signature ganache made with a blend of dark (28.5%) and milk (11.8%) chocolate. Perfect for pairing with classics such as sweet strawberries, marshmallows and crunchy pretzels.

Salted Caramel Fondü – Sweet, Salty and Silky

For shoppers seeking sweet and salty indulgence, the Salted Caramel Fondü combines Gü’s signature French salted caramel with a buttery caramel to create a rich and smooth dip designed for pairing with fruit, pretzels and sweet treats.

Chocolate Fondü will launch in Sainsbury’s in May, with Salted Caramel Fondü following in June, both with an RRP of £2.50 (prices at retailers’ discretion).

Fred Ponnavoy, head chef at Gü, says: “With our new Fondü range, we saw an opportunity to bring something new to the chilled desserts category by combining Gü’s signature indulgence with a more playful, shareable way to enjoy dessert at home.”

He adds: Both the Chocolate and Salted Caramel flavours have been developed to deliver premium quality, offering a simple way to enjoy familiar favourites in a dipping format. From cosy nights in, to dinner with friends, Fondü is designed to suit a range of occasions.”
