Hyperice Hyperboot available to consumers in 2025

Nike and Hyperice are taking warm-up and recovery to the next level with the retail launch of the Hyperboot, a wearable and mobile footwear innovation designed to help athletes perform at their best throughout training and competition.

The two brands, known for their innovation in service of athletes, designed the Hyperboot as a heat and dynamic air-compression massage tool that moves with athletes, helping them address their warm-up and recovery needs with minimal distractions — and without being constrained to a specific location or position.

“Athlete insight is at the centre of everything we do, and while we’ve long known that recovery is an important part of any athlete’s journey, we’re hearing from athletes that the concept of ‘pre-covery’ is equally as important,” says Tobie Hatfield, Senior Director, Nike Athlete Innovation. “The Hyperboot helps get the body ready for activity, whether you’re playing for a title or you’re on your feet a lot at work.”

Since introducing the Hyperboot last summer, Nike and Hyperice have continued to gather feedback from athletes who have integrated the technology into their training and recovery routines, from simple workouts to the biggest moments in sport. Elite and everyday athletes have shared that after wearing the Hyperboot, they’re able to take their usual warm-up and recovery routines to a new level, both physically and mentally.

“I was fortunate to be one of the first athletes to test the Hyperboot, and I can honestly say that I was immediately impressed,” says Nike and Hyperice athlete Sha’Carri Richardson. “I felt the difference right away — especially the impact on my training. While wearing the Hyperboot, I am able to start warming up and recovering while still being mobile. This is a huge benefit while traveling and being on the go. As a sprinter, every millisecond matters, so having my feet and ankles already activated truly helps me prepare to perform at my best.”

The Hyperboot contains a system of dual-air bladders that deliver sequential compression patterns and are bonded to thermally efficient heating elements that evenly distribute heat throughout the shoe’s entire upper. This combination — enabled by Hyperice’s Normatec line and the brand’s HyperHeat technology — is designed to drive heat deep into the muscle and tissue in the foot and ankle, helping athletes move, perform and recover naturally much faster. To that end, athlete testers report that their feet and ankles feel freer and lighter — as if they’ve already completed their warm-up before actually starting their usual routine.

“The Hyperboot represents everything I look for in my preparation: cutting-edge technology that delivers real results,” says Nike and Hyperice athlete Jayden Daniels. “I’m meticulous about incorporating the latest innovations into my training, and the way this device combines precise heat and compression technology has taken my warm-up to new heights. The most important ability to have as an athlete is availability, and the Hyperboot is an integral part of my routine. It’s the first piece of tech I reach for before hitting the field — a true game-changer in how I prepare my body to compete.”

Athletes can easily synchronise their shoes with the press of a button, powered by a battery pack in each shoe’s insole, and they can choose from three distinct levels of compression and three levels of heat. Athletes can also connect to the Hyperice mobile app to further personalise their experience.

“Since the inception of Hyperice, we have taken a lot of inspiration from Nike, from the care and innovation we put into our products to how we connect with the athlete,” says Anthony Katz, founder and president, Hyperice. “This collaboration is the culmination of years of work between our two brands to deliver innovative footwear and apparel for the athlete with the goal of enhancing their performance and recovery. And this is just the start.”

The Hyperboot by Nike x Hyperice will be available in North America at nike.com, hyperice.com and select Nike and Hyperice retail partners on May 17. The Hyperboot will expand to global markets later this year.
