A local Cumbrian resident has been revealed as the winner of a brand-new Toyota Yaris Cross Icon Hybrid worth £26,495 in JET’s nationwide forecourt promotion, the JET Journey Jackpot.

JET
L-r: the winner and Colin Gates, owner, Jubilee Garage

The car presentation marks the culmination of a three-week campaign designed to boost customer engagement, increase forecourt footfall, and reinforce JET’s driver-first brand positioning across over 320 participating sites throughout the UK.

The winner, Kris, was handed the keys to his new car at JET Jubilee Garage during a celebratory event attended by site staff, JET representatives and members of the local community. Dating back to 1935, the family-run site that was formerly with Gulf, transitioned to JET in 2017. Jubilee’s owner, Colin Gates, runs the site alongside his son John Gates, and daughters Sandra Huddart and Janis Bragg.

The promotion generated excitement across the country, with participating forecourts running a variety of in-store activities, including seasonal, Halloween-inspired promotions at JET Tickhill in Doncaster. Kris, who entered the promotion when a colleague told him about it, said he was “over the moon” to discover he had scooped the grand prize.

Over three weeks, running from 20 October 2025 to 9 November 2025, JET invited customers to enter by spending £10 or more on fuel and uploading their receipt online. It was supported by a multi-channel marketing campaign featuring Video on Demand (VOD) advertising, radio ads (with UK and Scottish voiceovers), social media activity, and on-site Point of Sale (POS) materials including posters and branded T-shirts.

“As a driver-first business, we wanted to give something back to our loyal customers, and the JET Journey Jackpot has more than delivered,” said Áine Corkery, brand manager, UK Marketing at Phillips 66 Limited. “Kris’ win highlights the genuine excitement these campaigns create. And for our retailers, promotions like this help drive incremental spend, increase dwell time and build long-term loyalty. It’s been fantastic to see such a positive result for Kris, JET Jubilee Garage and our participating sites.”

The team at JET Jubilee Garage added: “Hosting the giveaway has been fantastic. Seeing the car on the forecourt with branded ribbons and balloons created a real buzz, and customers loved being part of it. Campaigns like the JET Journey Jackpot demonstrate the strength of the JET community and bring real value to our customers. We’re thrilled that the winner is a local customer.”
