Laura Ashley, one of the world’s best-loved home and lifestyle brands, has expanded its digital footprint into France, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium.
The brand, which started from the eponymous founder’s kitchen table, has evolved over seven decades into an international powerhouse. It now has a global customer base with over 150 international retail locations in 18 countries. This is in addition to its dynamic global licensing operation, started in the ‘90’s and expanded when Gordon Brothers purchased the brand in 2020. The addition of these four new markets brings the brand’s e-commerce platforms up to 19.
Each local website will offer customers across Europe more than 700 products on each site spanning the brand’s core homeware range. Serving as an online destination to discover the brand and products under one roof, the platforms will allow consumers to browse products before being directed to online locations in their locality to complete the transaction.
Categories available in these new markets will include home furnishings, wallpaper and paint, lighting, kitchen and dining and accessories, firmly cementing its status as a global lifestyle brand.
Speaking on the digital expansion, president of Laura Ashley Global & senior managing director, brand operations, Gordon Brothers, Carolyn D’Angelo, said: “Following the global achievements of Laura Ashley over the last few years, including our successful seventieth year, and the relaunch of our fashion range, the time is right to expand and create a destination for our brand in these new territories.
“The current offering across these European platforms/websites is from our homeware collection but we hope to follow this with our fashion range as we continue to drive brand awareness and allow our customers to shop the full Laura Ashley lifestyle range.”
