Living Things launches new Cherry & Lime soda

Living ThingsPrebiotic soda brand Living Things is expanding its range with the launch of Cherry & Lime, a new lightly sparkling flavour, as the brand continues to grow its line-up with flavour-led innovation across functional soft drinks.

The NPD has been developed to tap into rising consumer demand for cherry-flavoured drinks, while offering retailers a functional soda that delivers on both taste and health credentials ahead of the summer season.

Described by the brand as “The Soda of the Summer”, Cherry & Lime combines juicy cherry with fresh lime for a balanced, full-flavoured soda, bringing together nostalgic taste with a fresh, modern twist.

Like the rest of the Living Things range, Cherry & Lime is a lightly sparkling prebiotic soda containing high fibre, low sugar, no sweeteners, less than 15 kcals per 100ml, 2 billion live cultures, and all-natural flavours.

The launch forms part of Living Things’ continued flavour innovation strategy, as the brand builds momentum across grocery with products designed to meet growing shopper appetite for soft drinks that combine functionality with flavour.

Ben Vear, co-founder and CEO of Living Things, said: “Cherry & Lime felt like the perfect flavour for us to launch for summer. It’s a great example of how we’re continuing to innovate the Living Things range with flavours that feel timely, exciting and relevant for retailers. As with every Living Things flavour, it had to deliver on taste first, while still bringing the functional benefits people expect from the brand. Cherry brings that nostalgic, familiar flavour people already love, while lime keeps it fresh, balanced and perfect for summer.”

The launch comes as Living Things continues to expand distribution across grocery and foodservice, with new nationwide listings in ASDA Express and Morrisons alongside continued growth with Tesco, Waitrose and Ocado.

The brand is also expanding its foodservice presence through nationwide partnerships with LEON, Tesco Cafes and Pizza Express, as well as international distribution through Albert Heijn in the Netherlands, Co-op to-go in Switzerland, Tesco Ireland and Dunnes Stores in Ireland.

Living Things is now the UK’s number one prebiotic soda brand by total market sales (Circana total market), with total stockists on track to exceed 40,000 points of distribution across more than 10,000 stockists in 18 countries by the end of May.

Living Things Cherry & Lime will be available at drinklivingthings.com, Amazon and independent retailers from this week, rolling out across Morrisons, Harrods, Whole Foods Market, WH Smith UK Travel, and Coco Di Mama over the next month.

Available in 330ml cans (RRP £2.29), 4 x 330ml can multipacks (RRP £5.99) and 12 x 330ml can multipacks (RRP £23.99).
