Co-op relaunches its Pangbourne store today following a six-week programme of works and improvements to transform the store.
Located in The Square, Pangbourne, the 3,000sq ft store supports 16 local jobs and re-launches (Friday, 11 October) following a major makeover.
Pangbourne’s Co-op serves-up an in-store bakery and Costa Coffee Express alongside an enhanced focus on fresh, healthy and chilled produce. The store also offers meal ideas and everyday essentials; food-to-go and meal deals; Fairtrade products; flowers; newspapers and magazines; chilled beers and award-winning wines; ready meals, pizzas and, free-from, vegan and plant-based products.
Parcel collection services are available through Amazon and DPD.
The online home delivery of groceries is available via Deliveroo – with orders picked fresh in the local store and then delivered quickly and conveniently in the community.
Works have also been carried out back-of-shop including improved storage and refrigeration to enable the store to better serve the community.
An ATM provides access to cash in the community, and a soft plastic recycle unit is available in store to enable the community to return harder to recycle ‘soft plastics’ including: crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals and yogurt pots, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches – ensuring all Co-op’s own food packaging is recyclable either through local authority kerbside collections, or the in-store recycling unit.
Ida Baginsaka, Co-op store manager, said: “The whole team is delighted to have had the opportunity to invest in Pangbourne – the store has been transformed with a fresh new look and layout, it looks like a brand new store.
