New Zealand heritage lifestyle brand, Rodd & Gunn, is kicking things off for the latest drop of their partnership with globally renowned Rugby label Gilbert at the iconic Galeries Lafayette, Boulevard Haussman, Paris, from 3-23rd October 2023.

Following its launch into the iconic French department store in September 2022, this new pop-up in the central atrium serves to celebrate the latest collection from Rodd & Gunn, ‘Journey to Paradise’, with a focus on the brand’s second collaboration with sports megabrand, Gilbert. The collection is aptly named ‘United by Rugby’.

Customers are taken on a journey through Galeries Lafayette, beginning with the grand Rodd & Gunn window displays on the outside of the store. From there, they make their way through to ‘Gilbert Atrium De L’Homme’, to a pop-up unit created to specifically highlight the Rugby Stadium Locker – a unique and limited-edition product that is exclusive to Galeries Lafayette. This pop-up unit frames an impressive hanging rugby ball installation and includes a full product display of the Rodd & Gunn x Gilbert collection with changing rooms to match.

From there, customers can visit the Etoile Podium, immersing themselves in the New Zealand landscape with a ‘Journey to Paradise’ installation, inspired by the beautiful nature of the country and showcasing hero pieces from the collection.

Both ‘Journey to Paradise’ and ‘United by Rugby’ collections are a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship that Rodd & Gunn is famed for. A proud Kiwi brand, with an ever-growing global presence, Rodd & Gunn have earned a reputation for crafting timeless garments that are made to last. From the fabrics sourced, to the techniques used to construct their clothing, quality is the undercurrent that buoys us as a brand. With a flagship store on London’s Conduit Street, 12 American locations and redefining retail experiences with ‘The Lodge Bar’ destinations in New Zealand and Australia, Rodd & Gunn has accrued international acclaim for its classic collections of unrivalled quality, with authentic sustainability innately at the core of all production practices.

This activation in Galeries Lafayette coincides with an ever-growing brand presence in Europe, as Rodd & Gunn expand into 40 concessions in UK & Ireland alone in just three seasons.

“Following the success we saw launching into Galeries Lafayette last year, we are excited to be back with such an impressive installation at a pivotal moment for the brand.

Given our extensive global growth in the past eighteen months, this latest activation is a great opportunity to bring two brilliant collections to the French market, and we cannot wait for our customers to see the space and feel immersed in the world of Rodd & Gunn.” Mike Beagley, CEO of Rodd & Gunn.

The Galeries Lafayette activation will open on 3rd October 2023, customers will also be able to shop via the Galeries Lafayette website – https://www.galerieslafayette.com
