SwizzelsSweet maker Swizzels has added Spooky Eyeball Double Lollies to its best-selling seasonal line-up in preparation for scaled-up celebrations and heightened demand.

The 130g shareable packs see a Swizzels classic get a spooky makeover, transforming the packaging for the fruit-flavoured compressed powder lollipops into eyeballs. With an RRP of £1.25, the product is designed to stand out on shelves and offer retailers something new to add to seasonal displays.

For retailers looking to appeal to shoppers preparing for trick-or-treaters or parties, Swizzels Sweet Shop Favourites (650g), Party Mix (785g) and Sweet Treats (600g) tubs include a wide variety of options, offering something for everyone. The year-round appeal of these products also means any leftover stock can be used over the Christmas period and beyond.

The sweet-maker’s vegan-friendly variety bags are also a popular choice for Halloween, catering to different dietary requirements whilst offering value for money with an RRP of £1.25. Swizzels’ on-pack offer with Day Out With the Kids gives shoppers another reason to choose a variety pack for seasonal celebrations, with the purchase of Luscious Lollies (132g), Curious Chews (135g) and Scrumptious Sweets (134g) unlocking exclusive discounts on Halloween events and experiences.

To appeal to those marking the occasion with a movie night or gathering, Swizzels’ latest launch, Atomix, is an affordable treat to elevate at-home celebrations.

Completing Swizzels’ Halloween offering are its themed sharing packs, Monster Treats (440g), Mummy Mix (340g) and Trick or Treat Lolly Mix (330g). Ideal for spooky in-store displays, the packs are full of fan favourites, including Love Hearts, Refreshers, Drumstick Lollies and Fizzers.

Clare Newton, trade & shopper marketing manager at Swizzels, said: “Halloween is a key occasion in the confectionery calendar and one of our busiest sales periods of the year as people stock up in preparation for parties, trick-or-treaters or at-home celebrations.

“We’d expect people to make more of the occasion this year, with Halloween falling on a Saturday and retailers should ensure they have a versatile and diverse seasonal range to appeal to different shopper missions. With our variety packs, sharing tubs and themed products, the Swizzels line-up supports retailers in meeting demand for sweet treats that perform on affordability, quality and choice, the top three priorities for consumers.

“With research showing that over half of shoppers only prepare for Halloween the week before, ensuring good last-minute availability will be key to maximising sales.”
