Trewithen Dairy expands national presence with new supermarket listing

Trewithen DairyTrewithen Dairy (www.trewithendairy.co.uk), the leading and award-winning Cornish Dairy, is proud to announce it is extending its distribution with leading supermarket, Sainsbury’s. Trewithen Dairy’s best-selling Barista Milk (1L) and new Grazed Milk (1L) has hit shelves nationwide and online. The launch marks a significant milestone for both the Cornish brand and for customers which will see them provided with more choice for high-quality, sustainably sourced products in the dairy aisle.
The new listing is a testament to the success of Barista Milk so far, which continues to impress consumers and retailers alike. The 1-litre product has already experienced remarkable growth in Tesco. Sales are up 710% year-on-year, an additional 497,300 litres were sold versus last year and 567,000 units sold in the latest 52 weeks, a strong indication of how the product will perform in Sainsbury’s and a strong trajectory for the Trewithen Dairy brand overall.
Grazed Milk, previously known as Regen Milk, is also joining Sainsbury’s shelves. The product refresh is driven by consumer insight and a desire to further educate shoppers on the benefits of regenerative farming, reflecting Trewithen Dairy’s commitment to sustainably farmed milk. A central benefit of a regenerative farming approach is that cows are free to graze outdoors rather than being confined indoors or fed only processed feeds. At Trewithen Dairy, the herds producing Grazed Milk spend at least 120 days each year on Cornwall’s pastures, foraging naturally on a mix of grasses, herbs, and wildflowers. Rotational grazing, moving cows to fresh pasture every few days, not only allows the land to recover but also strengthens soil health, encourages biodiversity, and supports thriving wildlife habitats. Grazed Milk is already stocked in Tesco, where shelves will be updated to reflect the new branding, with the hopes of helping shoppers understand the positive impact of regenerative agriculture.
Commenting on the launch, Mark Moody, marketing director of Trewithen Dairy & Ehrmann UK, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing both Barista and Grazed Milk to Sainsbury’s customers. Barista Milk has already enjoyed exceptional growth, while Grazed Milk reflects our ongoing commitment to regenerative farming. We continually listen to consumers to ensure we’re meeting the evolving tastes of our customers, and driving innovation in the category has been key to our success. We’re proud to offer products that deliver on taste, quality and sustainability. Extending our listings with Sainsbury’s, and aligning ourselves with such a high-quality, leading retailer, not only allows us to reach more customers, but also provides Trewithen Dairy with the opportunity to grow and to champion the British dairy industry.”
Trewithen Dairy’s entry into Sainsbury’s represents a significant step in its national expansion, bringing high-quality, sustainably produced Cornish milk to more consumers and building on its existing success in Tesco.
