Very The Very Group, which operates digital retailers Very and Littlewoods, has announced a major price freeze on selected children’s school clothing essentials this year, meaning families can continue to shop their Back-to-School buys at the same low prices as 2023.

In addition, to celebrate the price freeze and kick off the school season, it will offer parents and carers an additional 20% off school uniform wear by The Very Collection from 24 June until 7 July 2026.

The 20% promotion and price freeze applies to 141 essential school clothing items from The Very Collection including trousers, dresses, shorts, polo shirts, PE kits and footwear.

During the two-week promotion period, value seekers can pick up a multi-pack unisex school uniform bundle for £26.40 (down from £33) – that’s the equivalent of £12 for a complete outfit. The multipack features The Very Collection 3 Pack School Shirt from £9, The Very Collection 2 Pack School Trousers from £12 and The Very Collection Unisex 2 Pack V-Neck School Jumper from £12.

PE kit bundles, featuring The Very Collection Unisex 3 Pack School Sports T-shirts and The Very Collection Unisex Jogger Short start at just £16 during the promotion.

The price freeze comes as British households continue to feel the pinch, with inflation up 16.5% over the last four years, according to the Bank of England.

Sam Wright, chief customer and commercial officer, at The Very Group, said: “We know hard-working families are continuing to feel the pressure on everyday costs, from energy to travel, so supporting them to manage household budgets remains a priority for us.

“We’re focused on offering great quality essentials at prices people can rely on, helping customers feel confident as they prepare for the new school year.

“As children grow or change schools, replacing uniform can quickly add up. That’s why we’re committed to offering durable, good‑value pieces that are made to last, helping families spread the cost without compromising on quality.

“With our current offers and price commitment in place for the new school year, customers can shop early knowing they’re getting dependable value when it matters most.”

The price freeze will apply to the full recommended retail price on The Very Collection selected own-brand school uniform range.

Shoppers who spend £30 or more can also get free standard delivery to one of 14,000 InPost lockers or one of thousands of Click and Collect locations.

If shoppers are not fully satisfied with any of their uniform by The Very Collection, items can be returned within 100 days for a full refund.

Examples of The Very Collection school essentials where price freezes will apply include:

  • 3 Pack Polo Top at £9 (£3 per item)
  • 2 Pack School Trousers from £12 (£6 per item)
  • 2 Pack V-Neck School Jumper from £12 (£6 per item).
  • 3 Pack School Sports T-shirts from £14 (£4.66 per item)
  • Unisex Jogger Short from £6.
