Toyota and Juicy Couture drop a one-of-a-kind ultimate Y2K collectible: The Aygo X Juicy Edition

Toyota and Juicy CoutureGrab your velour tracksuits and dust off your flip phones: the noughties are officially back. To celebrate a Y2K renaissance, Toyota has teamed up with cult fashion legend Juicy Couture to create a bespoke Juicy Edition of its super-stylish city car, the Aygo X.

Bringing together two noughties icons that no it-girl could be seen without, the collaboration celebrates the return of millennial diva aesthetic by transforming Toyota’s compact crossover into a four-wheeled style and nostalgia statement.

The Toyota Aygo hit the streets early in the millennium and quickly became one the most popular small cars on the road with its street-smart styling, nippy handling and fun-focused character, making it an ideal machine for urban life. Twenty years on, Aygo X has entered the chat, carrying forward the same essential qualities but with the added appeal of more space, more power and environmentally focused hybrid technology. It’s also pioneered a whole new palette of spice-inspired colours that bring extra stand-out impact to its street image.

The Aygo X Juicy Edition is covered bonnet to boot in an all-over pink zebra-pattern custom wrap and drips with Juicy detail, right down to a diamante rendering of the Juicy logo on the tailgate and a set of eye-catching pink-vinyled alloy wheels. Inside, the seats are in plush pink leather, highlighted with the Juicy logo in silver metallic stitching. The cabin pops with zebra print details, including the air events and gear shift.

This oh-so-noughties creation is not just for the studio spotlight. One lucky winner will be driving it away as the prize in a competition quiz about the most memorable moments from the millennium’s early years (see below for details of how to enter).

There are more chances to add some Juicy flavour to your drive, with exclusive Juicy Couture x Aygo X pink fluffy mirror dice merch giveaways at Toyota shopping centre events across the UK in the coming weeks – while stocks last.

Emma Johnson, Toyota (GB) director brand and customer engagement, said: “Aygo X has always been about bringing personality, bold styling and big-energy driving to city streets. Teaming up with Juicy Couture has been a fun way to tap directly into Y2K nostalgia and connect with a generation of drivers who want their car to be a very visible expression of their personal style. We’re excited to bring the Juicy Edition to life – and to give one lucky fan the chance to drive it away.

The competition to win the Juicy Edition Aygo X is live now, inviting entrants to test their Y2K culture and noughties trivia. Details of how to enter and terms and conditions can be found at https://www.toyota.co.uk/aygo-x-juicy-couture.
