Spacegoods launches Sleep+, a night-time chocolate drink powered by clinically studied PeptiSleep

SpacegoodsSpacegoods, the functional wellness brand known for bringing science-backed ingredients into everyday rituals, today announces the launch of Sleep+, an evolved and upgraded sleep formula building on the brand’s previous Astro Dust product, with a new caffeine-free evening blend designed to help consumers relax, unwind and prepare for a better night’s sleep.

At the heart of the new formula is PeptiSleep™, a clinically studied plant peptide derived from brown rice. Spacegoods is the first UK drink-format brand to bring PeptiSleep™ to market, reflecting the ingredient’s growing presence across the global sleep and wellness category. Sleep+ marks the next chapter in the brand’s sleep offering, extending its functional expertise into an elevated evening ritual.

Sleep+ has been formulated for the increasingly blurred line between wellness, performance and recovery, recognising that night-time rest directly dictates daytime potential.

Rather than a traditional sleep aid, Sleep+ is positioned as an enjoyable night-time ritual: a rich chocolate drink combining PeptiSleep™, a tri-blend of magnesium citrate, taurinate and bisglycinate, Reishi and Maitake mushroom extracts, L-glycine, L-tryptophan, chamomile, Montmorency cherry and lemon balm. The result is a caffeine-free evening blend engineered to complement the modern wellness routine – helping consumers wind down at night and wake up fully restored.

PeptiSleep™ is a natural plant peptide discovered through Nuritas’ AI-led ingredient discovery platform and clinically studied for its impact on sleep quality. In a 2024 controlled study of healthy adults experiencing mild-to-moderate sleep impairment, participants taking 250mg of PeptiSleep™ daily for 4–8 weeks recorded improvements across key sleep metrics, including:

  • 17% increase in deep sleep

  • 13% increase in REM sleep

  • 38 additional minutes of total sleep per night

  • 32% improvement in heart rate variability

The study used both the Leeds Sleep Evaluation Questionnaire and Oura Ring sleep-tracking metrics to assess outcomes. Consumer research also found that 7 in 10 participants noticed an improvement in their sleep after taking PeptiSleep™, while 72% of those tracking their sleep reported seeing an improvement in their sleep statistics the following day. The formula is further reinforced with magnesium, which contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, normal muscle function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

“We wanted Sleep+ to feel less like a traditional sleep supplement and more like something you genuinely look forward to taking at the end of the day,” says Matt Kelly, founder of Spacegoods. “PeptiSleep™ gives us a particularly exciting scientific story, while the combination of magnesium, functional ingredients and rich cocoa makes it a natural fit for an evening ritual. It’s about closing the day well, so you can start the next one ready to go.”

Pricing & availability

Launching initially in a 30-serving pouch for £34, Sleep+ will be available from Spacegoods.com from 13 October 2026, with single-serve sachets set to follow at the end of November. The product will subsequently roll out across Amazon, with Holland & Barrett (January 2027) and Tesco (February 2027).
