Liberty is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Simpson as chief marketing officer, Liberty Group, alongside her existing role as managing director of LBTY, the retailer’s beauty proposition launched in October 2023.
In her expanded role, Simpson will lead Liberty’s overarching brand, marketing and customer strategy across the Group, while continuing to drive the growth and development of LBTY.
Simpson joined Liberty to launch and lead LBTY, the retailer’s dedicated beauty destination, which has quickly established itself as one of the UK’s most exciting luxury beauty propositions. Under her leadership, LBTY has delivered significant growth, expanded its brand portfolio and strengthened Liberty’s position as a destination for beauty discovery, expertise and innovation.
Prior to joining Liberty, Simpson held senior leadership positions at Procter & Gamble, Coty and The Wella Company where she spent 20 years leading strategy, innovation and commercial initiatives for some of the world’s most recognised professional beauty brands, including Wella, Clairol and OPI.
The appointment reflects Liberty’s continued investment in brand building, customer experience and long-term growth, as the business looks to strengthen its position across retail, beauty and luxury lifestyle.
