Marks & Spencer expands availability on Amazon into the Netherlands

Marks & Spencer has expanded its offering on Amazon to the Netherlands, as it accelerates its new channel growth and continues to build a trusted global brand.

M&S first partnered with Amazon in February this year, launching across Amazon Stores in France, Germany, Spain and Italy, key markets where the M&S brand and product resonate with customers.

M&S Fashion has been available in the Netherlands since 2022, through marketplace channels including Zalando. In the last six months, M&S has seen exponential growth and demand in the market, with sales up 46%, rising to become the second-best performing country for marketplace sales highlighting further growth opportunity ahead.

The M&S Brand Store will offer a carefully curated range of the best of M&S Fashion, with over 1,000 products across Womenswear, Menswear and Kidswear, available for customers to shop on Amazon.nl. Bestselling items in France, Germany, Spain and Italy have included year-round staple products across our Womenswear denim, Baby essentials and Bras.

The ambition for M&S’s International business is to build a global omnichannel business, utilising the expertise and infrastructure of strategic partners, through simple, scalable operating models, which are capital light. M&S is able to utilise Amazon’s local fulfilment network and improve the customer shopping experience with next day delivery available to customers – and free for Amazon Prime members.

This quarter, M&S international has seen triple digit growth on the year through marketplace sales through its partnerships with Amazon, Zalando and About You.
