Snugburys expands reach with nationwide distribution launch ahead of summer

Cheshire-based ice cream producer Snugburys is expanding its business operation with the launch of a nationwide home delivery service.

The move marks a significant step for the family-owned business as it looks to scale beyond its established regional roots and bring its premium ice cream range directly to consumers across the UK for the first time.

Produced on the family’s multi-generational dairy farm in Cheshire, Snugburys has built a strong following over the past 40 years, with its handcrafted ice cream made using British cream and homemade inclusions all prepared on-site. The business is led by sisters Hannah, Cleo and Kitty, with Cleo developing recipes and flavours inspired by her training at Le Cordon Bleu and Ballymaloe Cookery School, Hannah overseeing operations and organisation across the growing business, and Kitty heading up business development, sales and marketing as the brand expands nationwide.

The new direct-to-consumer delivery channel will feature some of the brand’s best-performing flavours, including Chocolate Brownie, Sea Salt Caramel and Yum Yum, a Snugburys signature flavour, loaded with caramel sauce, chocolate, toffee, homemade biscuit and caramelised cinnamon pecan nuts.

The launch comes as premium and indulgence-led ice cream continues to outperform within the category, with consumers increasingly looking for affordable luxuries and small treats in what many see as uncertain times[1].

Kitty Hill, director at Snugburys, said: “Launching nationwide delivery is a major milestone for us as a business. We’ve spent decades building the Snugburys brand in and around Cheshire and developing products that people genuinely love, so being able to reach customers across the UK is incredibly exciting. This expansion allows us to bring our ice cream to a much wider audience while staying true to the quality and craftsmanship that define the brand.”

The new Snugburys operation has been designed to support growing demand for premium ice cream, while expanding its customer base and opening up new commercial opportunities for the business.

Nationwide delivery launches online from 1 June, with 750ml tubs priced from £7.50 with free delivery.
