The Handbag Clinic strengthens circular luxury presence with larger Selfridges space and continued pop-ups

The Handbag ClinicThe Handbag Clinic has unveiled an expanded retail space on the 3rd Floor Womenswear at Selfridges, London, showcasing one of the largest in-store selections of authenticated pre-loved and vintage luxury handbags to date. The new space currently features approximately 80 designer handbags on the shop floor and will run until 8th March 2026.

This expanded presence comes off the back of a successful year of trading for the platform whose year-on-year income has increased by 82% while the company’s repair and restoration revenue has increased by 59%. The space allows customers to browse a larger, carefully curated collection of pre-owned designer handbags, making it easier than ever for shoppers to discover their dream piece. Brands include Chanel, Dior and Gucci, alongside heritage favourites such as Mulberry and more.

The Handbag Clinic’s original ground-floor location at Selfridges continues to offer its one-of-a-kind buy-back service, expert repairs and a selection of pre-loved items. Together, both spaces now present an expanded edit of luxury handbags for Selfridges customers.

Charlotte Staerck, co-founder and CEO at The Handbag Clinic, says: “Our relationship with Selfridges has been industry defining, the first fully circular in any department store globally. To see our offering being in such high demand by Selfridges customers both in and outside of London shows their commitment to sustainability is paying off and cements preloved and repair in the mainstream further.”

Following two highly successful pop-ups in November 2025, The Handbag Clinic returns to Manchester and Birmingham this March.

From 5th–15th March 2026, The Handbag Clinic will take up residence at Selfridges Manchester Trafford, followed by 16th–26th March 2026 on the 4th Floor at Selfridges Birmingham Bullring. Each location will host a curated pop-up showcasing authenticated, pre-loved designer handbags from iconic brands including Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Mulberry and more.

For ten days only at each location, customers can browse the collection in person, have their handbags professionally authenticated, consult repair specialists for expert advice or quotes, and exchange unwanted designer pieces for a Selfridges voucher – championing a more sustainable, circular approach to luxury fashion.
