The UK’s leading electric vehicle (EV) charge point operator for the hospitality and leisure sectors is driving forward the expansion of EV infrastructure at some of the country’s most iconic destinations through its contract with the National Trust.

As the number of electric vehicles continues to grow across the UK, RAW Charging is supporting the National Trust’s efforts to meet rising demand for convenient and reliable charging, ensuring that visitors can enjoy a seamless, eco-friendly experience while exploring the nation’s heritage sites.

In recent months, RAW has installed over 50 new EV charging bays at National Trust properties. Among the most recent installations are: Biddulph Grange Garden, Petworth House, Dunham Massey, Packwood, Kingston Lacey, Corfe Castle, Uppark and Batemans. These fast charging bays allow guests to charge their EVs while enjoying the historic and natural beauty of these destinations.

One of the largest sites installed to date is Dunham Massey in Altrincham, where 12 new fast charging bays have been installed for visitors to the house, gardens and ancient deer park.

These installations are a crucial part of the National Trust’s broader green agenda, which aims to reduce its carbon footprint and enhance the visitor experience. By providing convenient charging infrastructure, RAW Charging, in collaboration with the Trust, is supporting the UK’s transition to greener travel options and offering a sustainable solution to visitors looking to reduce their carbon footprint.

Looking ahead, RAW will continue its rollout with over 90 additional fast charging bays scheduled for installation in the coming weeks. New sites include Lacock Abbey, Felbrigg Hall, Croome Court, Hidcote and Castle Drogo – with all sites incorporating bays that are fully accessible.

Since signing the exclusive agreement with the National Trust in 2023, RAW has already delivered more than 160 EV charging bays for the Trust across the UK, with more installations planned through 2026.

Jason Simpson, CEO of RAW Charging, said: “We’re proud to support the National Trust in delivering sustainable and accessible charging across its portfolio. Demand for EV infrastructure at heritage and leisure destinations is growing rapidly, and this partnership allows us to make low-emission travel a practical choice for millions of visitors each year.”
