Toolstation, one of the UK’s largest suppliers of tools, accessories and building supplies, and part of Travis Perkins Group, has announced the appointment of Lakhvir Sanghera as its new managing director.
Sanghera will be part of the Group’s leadership team and succeeds current managing director, Angela Rushforth, who is retiring after 10 years with the Group.
Sanghera is an experienced senior leader with extensive commercial experience who has led large teams in complex organisations through critical periods of transformational change to deliver impactful results.
She was previously finance, property & distribution director for Toolstation, having joined Travis Perkins plc in 2011 and worked in senior leadership roles in both Wickes and Travis Perkins General Merchant.

Sangherabuilt her career with Barclays Bank, Centrica and Barclaycard before joining Travis Perkins plc.
She is also a diversity, equity and inclusion champion, who has played a key role in the development of the Travis Perkins Group progressive family friendly policies. She will commence her new role in September.
